This hostel is a little gem - I have already recommended it to other friends and am sure I'll be back again next time I am visiting the Lakes

Was absolutely perfect. Very warm welcome from the lady (Jan, if I remember... ) and she explained us everything! We arrived a lot earlier than expected and everything was ready. The atmosphere is friendly and you have the feeling to be in your house. The location couldn't be better, with a lot of charm and the pub and the café behind are good place to eat (amazing cakes) and to have a nice drink. Well, I would definitely recommend this hostel.

Ont of the best hostel I have ever stayed I wou d say. The owner was soooooo nice and ave me tons of information of the local taxi and tour, which was not her job, really, but still she did that. Also the satffs were so friendsly, ture heartly and helpful. I really had a good time there. And would love to go bac again and introduce this lovely lovely hostel to all my friends. xx Athena

A lovely place to stay. The car park at the back of the hostel is pay and display, but there is a free one nearby. The only downside that we found was that it was a bit cold in the nights. But other than that we enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely time staying at this hostel. Staff were really friendly and helpful- giving us an idea of the area and where to go the moment we got there. Rooms were simple but fulfilled all our needs, beds comfy and room for all our stuff. There was a really good kitchen with everything you could need to make your own dinner/pack lunches and a beautiful dining room to chill out in on an evening. Really enjoyed our stay. Thanks!!

The girl at the reception is very helpful and it is a really good, quiet hostel. We had a private double suite (room 8) which was really quiet. Good location too, only a minutes walk to the town and pubs
