A very friendly little hostel, located right in the heart of Kendal, a fascinating old town with much character.

Lovely welcome. Love the touches around the place. The complimentary tea and coffee, the dog, the cat, the piano and the very comfy sofas!!! Nothing is too much trouble. And I wouldn't hesitate recommending it to anyone else. The owner is lovely and very knowledgeable and helpful about, all things local and Lake Districty!! The building is quirky and cool!!

Really nice athmosphere, we enjoyed our stay

Kendal Hostel is cutting edge funtctional genius! It is a fund of English Lakes District information, as friendly as the folks at home, parked contentedly amidst England at its very best. Note that the Stagecoach buses manage to probe the English Lakes like a deft fleet of brain surgeons, so be prepared to get a three-day bus pass and allow those drivers to do their meticulous work. And feel free to let the cat, George, out at will - George has a history of survivalist training.
