Good and clean hostel at the beginning of the central road with friendly, helpful staff and breakfast included. Also lockers, bed lights and power for each bed in dorm. No really relaxing room and the very poor wifi (only a few people seem to connect simultaneously) are the negative aspects of the hostel.

First night I stayed in a smelly (moe) and dirty double room. I had to ask for a towel, later realized it was not clean. The staff at the reception changed it with little enthusiasm. No smile, no sorry. The new one was also dirty, so I used my own. The second night I wanted to stay in the dorm. Unfortunately the locker under the bed was broken. I asked the staff if they could repair it. Their answer was that I might want to look for a different Hostel. I did so. I cannot recommend to stay here!

Great place to stay. Staff is nice and the free breakfast is so good, with multiple options to choose from. The wifi exist once every few days, and only in the lobby. Free tea, coffee, and other drinks. Room was clean with a large spot of mold on the bathroom cieling. Nothing to cry over though. Good value for the price.

The hostel itself was nice; clean and close to everything. The staff on the other hand, could barely speak English and couldn't answer any of our questions.

Yes there's free WiFi here... If you can get it to work. Don't count on it. I wasn't a fan of the breakfast (I can still taste the oiliness of the eggs) but it is free so can't complain. It frustrated me that they turned the air con off at 10am. Yes you would assume people would be up and about by then, but I was extremely sick during my stay. Even when I turned it back on they were quick to turn it off again. Also, cockcroaches. Always fun when they crawl out of your locker at night.

I was in the dorm, which said the air con will switch on at 8pm and off at 10pm, which is not true. I was there for 3 nights, basically the air con is on at 10pm and off at 8:30am, which is really hot in the room, especially when u are in bottom bed. You'll sweating like hell when u wake up. Anyway, the location is not too bad but still a bit far from the center, but if your budget is really tight, here is the best for you. If u have a bit more budget, any guesthouse will be better than this

Good location about 5-10min walk from the main street. Friendly atmosphere in the hostel-easy to find people to do stuff with. Beds comfy and pretty clean, but showers often not working properly. Staff are not great at booking extra nights/ buses etc -spend most of their time on the computer! Wifi access is awful, but there are decent places nearby if you need it. Overall, pretty good value for the price and you get free breakfast.

By far the worst hostel I've been to and I have been to many. Reserved via Hostelworld and was told upon arrival that there were no more room. After arguing, they put a bed in the 16 mixed dorm. Next day I found my own bed in the 14 mixed dorm but should have gone to another hostel. Reserved a return bus ticket to Chiang Mia through the hostel. Upon arrival at bus station they said there's no reservation. Was forced to sleep with bed on floor for another night. 3 instances of cockroaches!

The wifi/internet really does need fixing. Wifi in the rooms and the ability to connect to the router should be given immediate attention. Staff are friendly but need slightly better English to make a big difference. Laundry was really good, fairly reasonable and the clothes were cleaned very well and smelt great.

5 minute walk from town, so convenient, but not right in the midst of things. Free breakfast. WiFi only in the dining room area.

I enjoyed my stay at Khammany. Good value dorm rooms which include air con and a good breakfast. Their laundry service is unreliable and overpriced, but they do run cheap tuk tuk rides to the awesome Kuang Si Waterfalls. Overall, highly recommended!

Great place to meet people in the reception, loved the free breakfast and tea and coffee. Doesn't take long to get into town. They were booked out when I was there, but kept adding mattresses to the floor of the dorm room, so beware!

Not too far, but not incredibly close to the city center. The breakfast was good; not a buffet but menu-style. Despite the limited English of the staff (except for one woman), communication was still decent. Very clean. Only real complaint was the terrible wifi! To sum it up, Khamany Inn is worth it.

There are only a few people who work there and one speaks exactly no English and tried repetitively to check us into the wrong room (and likely charge us more) with a king bed instead of the dorm. The wifi is pretty poor I couldn't hold a Skype conversation on it. It is really only meant for one or two computer usage. Also upon check out I had to provide proof that I booked it online and have already paid the 10%. Turns out they frequently 'forget' this and overcharge a lot of people.

Think this is the only place you can get a dorm in Laung Prabang - dorm was spacious, really clean and had air con, so would definately reccommend if you're looking for a cheap bed!

The location is far from the town centre. staffs were misleading and confused as well, resulting in several mix ups of the beds. pick up to bus station for my bus never came and I had to make my own way there, almost causing me to miss the bus. toilet and dorm is great though.

It's a little bit of a walk from the main part of town, but not unresonable. Good rates for transportation to your next destination.
