Good Location with very helpful staff, can check the travel information with them as well not even in Kathmandu. Also, the Food is good especially the Curry Chicken. Early check-in and late check-out will be no problem as long as you tell them in advance. Good value of money, free airport pick-up if you inform in advance.

Everything was great except management. Booked a plane ticket through the manager. Was guaranteed our flight was purchased, booked and that there was nothing to worry about. We payed him, plus service/ booking charge and left on a bus for Pokhara the next day to catch that flight. Long story short we had no plane and our plans were ruined. Having to return to the hostel again later to get our refund was a hassle, but were offered the best room at cheap rate for rest of stay in compensation.

Nice place with friendly staff (most of them). Most of them threated us with most welcoming way every day, while few of them were kinda pushy trying to sell trips etc... Clean rooms, but not too quiet at night. Couple roaches came out at night too. The laundry service was much more expensive than the ones offered all around the streets of Thamel. In the end, nice place with central location - just a little expencive.

Great staff, clean and tidy, this place is centrally located. i was here in the off season and it has a nice atmosphere, not too touristy but also a calm place to meet other travellers if you need to find out information about trekking and visiting other areas of nepal. Best of all is the friendliness of the staff. They also have a great rooftop garden that you can relax on with a beer after a day of sight seeing. reception can also book trekking and sightseeing tours for you. Well recommended!

I paid way too much for the room, the taps and showers were rusty leaving rusty water all over me always. There was NEVER any power, no fans, lights or wifi. Sheets and bedding were not clean, other persons hair on the pillow, I slept on top of my sleeping bag. I would have had no issues with any of this if it was at least half of the price I paid..

My short stay with Khangsar was pleasant, the hostel is strategically located across the busy street of Thamel. Staff in the hostel are very friendly and willing to help, can see that although they are struggling to speak to me in English, but they try their best to help me and they seems to always to put a smile in their face, and they work so hard! The hostel do not have any fancy setup but I personally find it good enough and is what a backpacker like me is looking for; a value for money.

Nice staff. Decent, clean place by Nepal standards. Beware that, like most places, they suffer from the city-wide power-shedding (i.e. no power except for emergency lights for huge intervals during the day). The wifi sucked majorly while I was there, and I ended up having to go to wifi cafes to find anything usable. There was also a roach in my room, but otherwise everything seemed pretty clean and I didn't see anything else sketchy, so just chalking that up to bad luck. Otherwise was okay.

Great Guesthouse, located close to most attractions. Very nice staff who will help you with all your questions. Khangsar guesthouse even got a travel office who can help you plan your trekking, travelling, safari, bungy jump and many more things. I liked the rooftop a lot. Nice place to relax after a long day in Kathmandu. 24/7 wi-fi in the rooms is another nice thing. I will stay here again if I come back to Kathmandu.

I had a very nice stay there ! Staff is great always smiling very very friendly , spot on service . And Raj the manager will make your stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible starting with a nice cup of tea on arrival . Location is great , just five minutes walk away from thamel center, but far enough to actually escape the noise and have a good night sleep. Full Support ... Thanks Khangsar Guesthouse!

The staff was very helpful at all times. They even helped us plan our trek to Helambu for free and offered guide and porter service as well if we had wanted it. The owner has been very nice taking time to offer us tea and get to know us.

With so many other available accommodation, this place has seen better days and is way overpriced

The room was't clean. The carpet near the bathroom was wet when I checked in. The water of the tap in the bathroom is a bit yellow. And I saw a giant cockroach near my bed when I woke up in the morning. Also, their store room (both outside and inside) was very messy like a wasteland...

Our nepal started and ended really well with khangsar. Absolutely excellent location! Food, shopping, convenient store and bookstore etc are all within very short walking distance. Very friendly and helpful hostel staff! During our stay at this hostel we were treated like part of their family, it was great fun talking to every single one of them. Although the room were simple but well you get what you paid, most importantly it is clean and there's hot water in the shower! I'll be back soon!

Great gueshouse, being met at the airport with a free ride is a massive bonus as taxi would have cost the equivalent of one nights stay and its pretty hectic when you get to the taxi rank. Rooms are spacious, basic but clean. Excellent food served in the downstairs restaurant. Raj was very helpful booking our bus to pokhara for a good price and got money changed at a good rate for us too. Great location near to restaurants, supermarket etc. Recommended!

The room of the guest house is sunshiny and comfortable. I like the blue railing and the little porch. You would like people here because of their kindness. :)
