Very practical location at busy Katmandu. Nice staff , very helpful with all kind of recommendations. Also they arrange treks, ratings and anything you need to make your stay in Nepal more memorable. it is a simple hostel, so... Do not expect good accommodations. beds are comfortable and some rooms have hot water. Ideal please to be used as a "base camp" for your trip to Nepal. Taxis are very easy to find at the exit of the Katmandu airport (750 nepal ruppies the ride to this hotel).

Free airport pick was really convinent for us, The staff were very friendly try to look after till end,The room was clean,hotwater and comfortable, The location is very good, 40 secs walk to the centre area, The hostel manager also assisted us in arranging tour for other cities in Nepal and we recieved all the services that were promised to us.we would like to recommend anyone intrested in friendly and cheerful service to stay this guest house whilst in kathmandu,Enjoy your stay with great guys

Simply the best guesthouse I'v stayed in in Kathmandu. Great staff, very nice rooftop. They organize very good trekkings and other trips in Nepal. Good location close to most of the major attractions.

This guest house is conveniently and centrally located in Thamel. I appreciated the free airport pick-up. Facilities were basic, but everything worked and it was about what I expected for such a cheap price. The staff were very helpful and it was an easy place to arrange the rest of my trip in Nepal.

The Khangsar Guest House is an extremely hospitable facility. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating from the moment they picked me up from the airport until I checked out of the guesthouse. The guest house is in a wonderful location as well. It is walking distance to all the outdoor shops, restaurants, book stores and coffee shops in Thamel. Trip arranged from guest house was very much convinent for me, I would recommend the The Khangsar Guesthouse to anyone visiting Kathmand

I used Khangsar House as a base for over 6 weeks whilst traveling through Nepal. The location was excellent, just off the main Thamel strip, yet far enough away from the noise at night. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and made us feel very much at home. I would not hesitate to return there if I visited Kathmandu again.

The rooms are a little old and dirty but for $6 a night is a really great deal. The staff is really nice and are always willing to assist you.

great hostel lovely staff and very friendly. the location is great - close to the center but not loud. food is also very good from the pancakes to the nepalis food everything is very tasty. rooms r clean and well kept - warm shower 24/7 in short great place for a great price very highly recommended, trek offered from hostel is really convinent for us and i will strongly recommend their service as my guide always make sure everything is ok with us, and he has lots of local knoweledge, enjoyed!

We were welcomed with open arms by Raj, who helped us plan so much and really looked after us as though we were the only people in the hotel! We stayed in a 3-bed room -- The carpets were quite stained and the toilet only flushed sometimes (but that is Nepal, I guess). However, the beds were comfortable and they will provide extra blankets if you need them. It's located in a great spot right in the heart of Thamel, but it's not too noisy. Thanks Raj for all the help!

wonderful hostel in a great spot with a very familiar and cozy atmosphere. Very helpful staff that will arrange everything for you right away. I recommend it!!
