Nice and clean private rooms, the location is excellent with food and entertainment outside the door. Free bbq was provided one night with transportation. No great common room to hang out in was the downside for me.
Superb value for money with excellent staff. We initially booked for just two nights and ended up staying for 10 days in total. The area (Hyewa) is pretty good to base yourself - loads of cafes, bars, restaurants (wide variety of types), and some decent DVD bangs too. Good aaccessto Insadong too. On Saturday nights, the owner (Mr Sea) hosts a free Korean BBQ on the roof top of the Insadong branch.
Nice comfy place, Mr Sea is very friendly and accommodating. My only problem is that they are listed as a wheelchair accessible hostel when in fact they are not. This was not a problem for me because I was traveling with a friend but would have been otherwise.
i have an excellent on my 1st time in korea in khaosan palace. the staff (mr.kim) is very friendly and helpful during work and off work. he certainly make my stay there an enjoyable one. i have never regreted staying here. it is definitely worth it to stay here for those who would like to do backpacking around korea.
