KHaosan Tokyo Annex is a cheap place to stay and actually worth for the little money you spent. The facilities are a bit worn down, but everything is working. The staff is super nice. In Asakusa itself, you can see a really nice temple, but apart from that, for the rest of Tokyo you`re forced to take the subway, which is actually not that expensive for my experience. The Hostel is more on the outer East side of Tokyo, but the subway lines you got there, are really convenient.

Excellent hostel. Very helpful staff. Clean, pleasant enviroment. Lots of opportunity to chat with other backpackers. Capsules offer a bit more privacy although they can get a tad stuffy and as far as I can tell cannot be locked from the inside. All in all a very good experience which I would recommend.

It's an interesting place, great location near Asakusa subway station but it's noicy since it's a place for teenagers, if you want to make friends is a good place for you but if you need a place for sleep, and leave your baggage it won't be here. Cabins are hot and have poor ventilation so they don't smell good.

Great location, great atmosphere, and great staff. There were so many resources to help guests with what to do and where to go around Tokyo.

I had an amazing time at this hostel! I think it was my favorite out of all of the ones I stayed in during my trip to Japan. The staff were so kind and helpful and were able to book bus tickets for Mt. Fuji for me. Very safe with tons of lockers and a nice kitchen area. Lounge and computer area is also great and spacious and there are always open showers. Was a bit loud at night and you can definitely hear through the walls but what do you expect? Great experience I`d love to come back!

This hostel got good CP value for backpacker. Staff is nice, room is clean, and the environment is quiet. Cabin style will be good for people who walk all day long. The location is a little hard to find but very close to skytree and Sumida river. Nice place to stroll in the morning or night.

Nice hostel, but a bit loud. Couldn't sleep much. Staff was cleaning in the middle of the night.

I didn't like the place that much because of the 28 bed dorm i stayed in. I could never get any rest because the people in the other beds were always up doing something. The beds creaked alot so any movement could be felt, especially if you were on the bottom bed. The capsule type of bed felt a bit suffocating to me because there was hardly any airflow into the capsule. The beds were uncomfortable. The atmosphere was lively there and was clean, which is a plus.

2nd visit here. Some reviews indicate that the location is a bit far from the station. However as for me and my mates, everyday we walked through the komagata bridge. It was a nice walk, Fresh air. Good view. Love the atmosphere here. The hostel staff is super friendly as ever. The place is comfortable. Feels like home. What more can I say? Everything here is all good. Will definately be here again.

The staff is so awesome! They helped me find good places to eat, the nearby sento, and even helped me get a ticket to Springroove! They cleaned the rooms daily and I felt very comfortable. The location is great too. Had a wonderful time!

This is the second time I've been here. For the prices and particulary the service its perfect. It's not that close from any subway station but so what. :)

I came back to this hostel because I liked it before, but it seems to be getting a little run down. Not as clean as it was before. But, this place is an excellent place for the price.

Great place, stayed at the Kyoto establishment of this chain before and was not disappointed this time. Clean, helpful staff, convenience store right around the corner, great atmosphere and because it's a relatively large hostel there are many other guests so there's always someone to share your traveling experiences with. Right next to Tokyo Skytree and about a ten minutes' walk away from Asakusa and its subway station, a great place to stay if you're sightseeing Tokyo.

no one of the staff help you taking your luggage to the 4th floor and the public facilities like hot water for showering and kitchen facilities like microwave in 4th floor turn off near midnight till morning so you must go to the ground floor.
