It might seem unsafe. But it was safe and comfortable enough. If I get to come back to Tokyo I would love to come back and stay here.

This was my 6th or 7th stay at Khaosan Tokyo Ninja and it was awesome, as always. I usually visit Tokyo at least a couple times each year, and Khaosan Tokyo Ninja will continue to be my first choice of accommodation whenever I'm in town. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the facilities are clean, comfortable and welcoming. Khaosan Tokyo is what a hostel experience should be and I look forward to my next visit.

A wonderful place to stay in Tokyo. Social, friendly, clean, reasonable priced and everything else perfect for backpackers. Staff was super friendly and pretty much the only people in Tokyo who spoke English!

Really nice hostel! So clean and comfortable, super friendly and helpful staff. Really easy to meet other traveler's in the lounger. Lots of solo traveler's and pairs looking to meet and explore with others. There is a nice little area down the street with good eats, but not really near anything central. And there was always a rowdy group in the kitchen not leaving much room for anyone else. But still a great place and a great stay! Nice privacy too if you want it.

Hostel staff were extremely accommodating to all guests even suggesting interesting Tokyo destinations. The dorm-type rooms just felt a little crammed and the bunk bed I slept in wasn't positioned very well. There was little room to climb up the bunk bed ladder. Though they did setup of the other bunks pretty well, so I guess mine was an exception. Considering the affordable rates, I shouldn't complain too much. Bathroom was very clean which was much appreciated.

Good hostel in Asakusabashi, the dorm was fine except that climbing to the 2nd level bunk bed was kind of hard sometimes... lockers were fine, bathroom fine. Very nice common room underground, with TV and everything you need. Staff is absolutely friendly, young people that like to talk and share experiences! Recommended!

Booked a twin bunk room for me and boyfriend, and one bunk was (just!) wide enough for us both :D Free tea/coffee in spacious friendly lounge is great! Huge TV and wifi everywhere is cool :) Facilities all super clean :) very friendly staff and other residents :) Late nighters beware early closing restaurants nearby but the 24 hour places are cheap and tasty :) Awesome place, will stay again!!

I stayed there on a Thursday night on business. It definitely is more of a party atmosphere kind of place. I would recommend it to people who are there for traveling / holidays and like meeting other travelers, etc. For me, it was a little annoying to deal with a dorm, some people coming in late, etc. when I had work the next day. However, the price was right, the facilities had what I needed, the staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable enough.

I think the idea of 20 people in a room isn't working. I kept waking up the whole night hearing people closing the doors, or whatever you call it, of the wooden capsules they are sleeping.

Location is very good. Between two station. The bad points are no lift in this hostel, I stayed in 5th floor. The lounge is in basement. It is make me so lazy to play there because the distance is very far.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Facilities were a bit unclean at times and tissue papers weren't replaced often. Good place for the location though.

The best place to stay if you have the JR pass, well located, nice rooms and the best staff from Japan! The communal + kitchen is in the basement so you can be very noisy till very late. Great place to meet people!

It is my second visit to this hostel. The airport is only a train ride away. Very well located in central Tokyo in a quiet neighborhood; no sounds of passing cars or loud club music outside, unlike other hostels where I've stayed before. Had a good sleep again, thanks! Staff members are all helpful and dedicated to their work, constantly keeping the place clean, even at midnight! Arigato.

I love that the internet connection was everywhere and super fast! Staff are also nice and very helpful. our only problem is that we only have one toilet and one shower room for 10 people.

Great hostel in a great location with helpful staff. It's located close to a JR-station which is a big plus (once you figure out the Tokyo subway system) and close to Akibahara, around the corner is a shop that sell food 24/7. Rooms are generally small but that's something to expect in Tokyo and very clean. Definitely staying there again if I visit Tokyo again.
