My boyfriend and I have stayed at Ninja on 5 different occasions while traveling Japan. The staff are amazing, rooms and dorms are super clean and it is really close to the subway. We couldn't recommend it enough!

alway a pleasure at the ninja. it was my second trip to japan and there was no question of choosing them again. the staff and location are a treat. the quirkiness and humour of the place keeps you in a good mood, and ask the staff of an additional mattress and you'll be sleeping well and cheep in tokyo. i look forward to seeing them all again and solving a new riddle they have posted in the bunks! =)

It was overall a very nice hostel, but there were some small issues. Unfortunately, Asakusabashi is not the best location, and it wasn't a particularly roomy hostel. But the beds were nice and the staff was really really friendly :)

I loved it here! Everybody was really helpful and fun to hang out with. Super clean facilities and you can even lock your bunk bed which gives extra security and a little bit of privacy. They organized a hanammi party while I stayed there and provided free beer and snacks. An awesome time! Will stay here again if in Toko!

Great, friendly staff, good location! The mattress was a bit thin, though; by the 8th night I needed to visit Yodobashi and sit in a massage chair for a while.

Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Female staff very attractive. The location is near 2 central train lines, so there is easy access to and from the Airport, central Tokyo, and Kamakura. The hostel is on 5 floors, and is set up so each individual has their own wooden cave/box to sleep in. I initially recoiled at the idea, but the accommodations were comfortable, as each unit had a light, power outlet, and small shelf inside. The place is safe and the facilities were clean. Value for money

we stayed in a private room for two and we really enjoyed our time over here. the staff was really helpful and genuinely nice. the room was small but nice. the bathroom facilities was clean, nothing to complain over. and they had a great basement where u could hang out, and because it was located downstairs u did not have to worry for bothering other people. And a great idea that they take a photo of everyone that stays there. We really recommend this place, we will definitely come again! :)

I had a pleasant stay at the backpackers, the cleanliness was superb and the staff were very helpful. The mattresses were thin so I could touch the bottom of the bed. All in all I found the place quite easily and had a pleasant time. Thanks ;)

It was a good cheap stay in Tokyo. The room was pretty small, dark and in need of a fresh coat of paint.

Great hostel, but was a little sleepy when i went. It's got good connections on the JR lines and subway, and the security here is excellent. Also the staff are very helpful and there are lots of helpful posters and fliers around the reception.

Firstly the staff at this hostel are amazing! As a non-japanese speaking tourist I was a little worried about the language barrier but there was no need! All members of staff are fluent English speakers and exceptionally helpful to boot! Great common area and facilities available 24/7. My dorm contained interesting 'pod' style bunks, very cosy, very secure, very quiet and nice and dark! Best nights sleep I had in Japan! Hostel in located very close to 2 different subway stations.

This was a really great find. I stayed in a cabin bed and the only drawback was a lack of ventilation (by morning the air wasn't too fresh). I'm not a giant by any means but at 6'4" (193cm) I'm not short either and I easily fit into the bed. Staff a welcoming and there is a huge common room with a kitchen and convenient drinks vending machines which are only a little more expensive than convenience stores. The whole places is cleaned regularly and thoroughly. Bidet toilets are good for a laugh.

I slept in one of those deluxe cabins which is kind of a capsule. Very comfy, spacious, quiet and private. Loved it there. I'll be visiting again.

Rooms were a bit small but you expect that in Tokyo. Asaskusabashi is a bit out of the way (from the sights of Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku, Ropponi) but Asalusabashi gets you to all of them in 30 minutes or less with zero or no changes. The little downstairs common room was great (especially the cheap beer vending machine). Some nights were a bit quiet but on some nights there were people to have a chat to and a beer with. Overall good value and I'd be happy to recommend it.
