Very nice and cosy hostel with large common room where contacts are easily made. Staff is very helpful and kind. I slept in a 10 bed dorn, had to crawl into my bed because it was in a corner but that's ok. Train and subway station nearby, takes you directly to Shinjuku. Wod stay here again!

The rooms were a little on the small side for people travelling with big suitcases, but that was fine. The atmosphere and facilities were great, definitely excellent value for money. The staff were fantastic, very helpful and willing to answer any questions about how to get places or what was good to go and see. The wi-fi is amazing, and the downstairs common room area provides a great place to hang out and meet other travellers.

I really enjoyed my stay here, the 20 bed dorm room I stayed in felt secure and, and I enjoyed having more privacy than I have ever had in a hostel dorm anywhere else in the world, due to having my own little pod. It was comfortable too, and internet was accessible everywhere in the hostel. There was a good body of information for tourism, and the common area was comfortable and had DVDs and stuff. The location was great, right on the direct airport line, and very reasonably priced for Japan.

Nice hostel in Asakusabashi. Short walks to multiple rail line options. Only hostel i stayed in japan that had a privacy curtain for your bed (super awesome for blocking the room light at all hours of the day).

It's a struggle to get budget accom in tokyo and thankfully khaosan offers just the thing for travellers. Exceptionally clean and well stocked with bathrooms, toilets and the kitchen and lounge area is well equipped and spacious. It's a train ride away from most places but there's plenty of food and drink places nearby too. Staff are great esp the crazy Korean girls :)

Very good location (I would recommend this area as it close to the Edo Tokyo Museum, the sumo stadium, Asaksa - Senso-ji etc - the Sky Tree and Akihabara), great bathroom facilities and really friendly staff. Close to Asaksabashi subway station, so easy to get anywhere in Tokyo. Beds are comfortable and showers are excellent.

2nd time returning to Khaosan Ninja and the place is magnificent, as always. For their pricing, you will get more than your money worth at this place. If you don't mind sacrificing little bit of your privacy for a great location and wonderful staff + tidy facilities, this place is definitely for you. :)

This hostel was really good, especially for the price. At first I wasn't looking forward to the shared facilities, but they are cleaned every day and are really clean. Not a lot of people use it at once as well, so most of the time it's empty and u can use it whenever you want. The walls in the room were thin though, so if you get noisy neighbours -- tough luck. The location was good, however Bakurocho station is a pain. I advise going via Asakusabashi.

The place is amazing to say the least. My girlfriend and I stayed for a week, and we felt like it was like home. The staff is accommodating, and have an impressive ability to communicate within several languages. The room is secure, and the location is safe. In fact, we often walked the neighbourhood well into the am as the local area was beautiful. The common space has a great atmosphere, and drinking is encouraged! The other residents were quite friendly. Finally, the toilet/shower were clean

best hostel i've stayed at in japan. amazingly friendly and super helpful staff, super clean, convenient location, and great facilities. i'd reccomend getting a very cosey and comfortable cabin bed as they are on the higher floors and allow more privacy than is usual in a hostel. lots of love, mickey-chan!

Khaosan Tokyo Ninja was fantastic! The staff were really friendly and knew a lot about what to do, where to go and how to do it. The dorms were really clean and the facilities were great. While it's not in the center of the city, there are train stations close to the hostel that can take you anywhere in Tokyo. It's a good place to meet other travelers too. Highly recommended!

This hostel was far away from many of the things I wanted to see in Tokyo. Other than that, everything else at the hostel is just fine. I enjoyed my stay at Tokyo Ninja, but there are other hostels which have better locations.

The staff are friendly and most of them speak very good English. Great value for money and has a good location for most of the major tourist spots in Tokyo. The shared room bunks are private and lockable for when you go out, however it's still hard to sleep when everyone gets up in the morning and returns at night, if you're staying with a friend I'd recommend one of the two bed private rooms. The facilities are good, wifi available on every floor, shared TV/kitchen/dining area etc.

Convenient for JR pass holders, and close to the train station. Plenty of food options within walking distance, although it is not a very lively area of Tokyo. This isn't much of a problem since you'd most likely have to take public transport anywhere you go, anyways. Staff was super friendly, and very helpful which was a big plus! Not all the beds have outlets nearby, so it can be hit or miss. In-room lockers are provided to store personal belongings. Excess luggage stored in the lobby.
