Brilliant location, amazingly clean and loads of information available in reception area of hostel about Tokyo, what to visit and getting around etc. A cute little lounge area with computers but we didn't spend much time at the hostel as we were out exploring Tokyo - had an awesome time.

I like Khaosan original! It is small yet comfortable. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. Everything is clean and it has nice view of the river from its windows. :)

Excellent location, staff helpful, facilities ok, charachter a bit failing, but you have whatyou need and you pay for. Great extra the free sake and the vicinity to the train station straight connected to Narita Airport.

Excellent location in Asakusa, metrostation is just round the corner. Good prices, nice staff. Kitchen is a bit small, but almost everything is small in Tokyo. Had a awesome time there, international friendly people are staying there.

I thought the areas under and behind the beds could be cleaner. I found it a little dusty. I appreciated that the hostel was quiet during bedtimes so i got a good sleep during the night. The toilet is a little overwhelming with vanilla scent.

Heating and sound-proofing of room was less than adequate. Heater at far end of the dorm was unable to keep the other end warm, especially for beds beside windows. Sounds of talking and laughter from common area were very audible and continued even past 1am. Would recommend putting up a sign in common areas to remind backpackers to be considerate to others who are trying to rest early.

Very compact hostel in a good location 1 min walk from Asakusa Station. Kitchen is tiny, with only one electric hotplate.Toilets & showers are so small with nowhere to get changed. Mattresses are very sponge like. Lockers are big enough to fit a laptop and valuables. Free PC & WiFi works well. Hostel seems to be ok with taking nationals, families and senior travelers, we stayed a week & its very stale and boring atmosphere, not good for meeting fellow travelers or having drinks in the evening.

The hostel was nice, staff was wonderful, and was located right near Asakusa station and a quick walk away from the Senjoji Temple. The hostel itself was in good condition, and beds were comfy. The common area was a little crunched when there are more than 4 people hanging out, but that should be expected, it's Tokyo ;) Our room had a great view of the River, and was really neat to chill in while watching the traffic on the roads and river. I would definitely recommend.

My 2nd visit to this Hostel and I'm still happy with it. As usual the staff are friendly and the place is cozy and well-kept. I appreciate the coin-operated washing machine, the kitchen with microwave oven/ref/toaster/heaters, the many maps/guides/leaflets they provide, and the location. It's very near Asakusa Metro station and within walking distance from supermarkets, banks, temples, and 100 yen shops. I just hope they scrub/clean more the shower rooms. But everything is perfect. We enjoyed.

Nice little joint that's well set up in all the ways a hostel needs to be. Our double room on the third floor overlooked the water and could see the 'golden turd' which was pretty cool, but the wifi barely made it up there despite being everywhere else, and the window didn't close fully so the heater was more or less ineffectual during winter. The staff were as helpful as possible with their advice.

There is a thick layer of dust under the bed! but the bed itself was good. I will like it more if there is a shelve beside my bed for me to put my belongings. the shower rooms on the second floor might need a bit of renovation. it looked quite old and i had no place to put my clean clothes when i shower. i loved the view of the river from my room however i got bitten by mosquitoes. no dryer! hence have to hang our laundry at the rooftop.

Great little hostel, only 1min from asakusa station and 5min walk to sensoji temple. Typical dorm rooms with bunk beds, clean bedding and very clean hostel. Living area is a little small but I still managed to meet a couple of people there. Also mainly Japanese tourists staying while I was there. Overall a great hostel definitely recommended great location and staff were excellent. One lady even rang 2 hostels and booked them for me on the ogasawara islands which was fantastic!

The staff are very helpful and I had a pleasant stay in Khaosan Tokyo Original! The location is not located in the centre of Tokyo but it is near to metro station. In general, the hostel is very clean. It would be nice if the roof top opening hour can be longer;) internet connection is very good and they have computer in the common room.
