This was a really lovely hostel! The staff were helpful and spoke English to a surprisingly high level. The location of the hostel is pretty decent, you're not too far from the main tourist spots. My bed was comfortable and although the room was a little small there was plenty of room to store my bags etc. The lounge area is a fairly sociable area to meet people. They also provide info on how to get to different stations which I imagine is useful if you don't speak Japanese and/or new to Japan

Great location and the staff was very friendly. Right next to the Sumoda River which is lovely during Cherry Blossom season.

We stayed in a twin private room. It was so small you can't open your suitcase, but it is serviceable for a quick overnight stay. You wouldn't want to spend much time in the room otherwise. Great location near Asakusa station. Easy to find. Good wi-fi.

I will definitely be going back to this hostel. It is readily accessible via the metro and several attractions are within walking distance. from its balcony and rooftop, you will see the asahi beer factory and skytree (photo-ops!). the staff are very helpful - providing maps and information.

The hostel was very good located and the staff was nice! The shared bathrooms were convenient and quite clean! The main problem was the size of the room which was really really small! We could survive there because we only stayed there for 4 days but I couldn't have deal with that much longer.. With the luggages inside we couldn't even walk inside the room. Each time one of us had to stay on the bed otherwise we didn't have enough space to move in the room..

Fantastic location; pretty quiet atmosphere but the staff are really friendly and helpful. Really close to 2 subway lines, traditional baths, and big shrine at Asakusa. We had a great stay!

Very nice location, the staff is fuckin AWESOME ( HIRO especially) . It may become a little noisy some nights , but i definitely would recommend this. I ve been stayin there 12 nights with my girlfriend in a private bedroom, it was just what we were lookin for...And the price is really interesting for what i ve seen during my stay in Tokyo !

Nice staff and great location near the subway line. Prices maybe what they are because Tokyo is expensive, but the rooms were literally just bunk beds with just enough space to sit bags down. The local map they give could use a little updating. Spent over an hour looking for a restaurant that couldn't be found. But the staff was nice and would definitely stay here again!

Great stay! Stayed here for 5 nights and felt very comfortable. Had a super early flight out of Haneda, and the trip there was super quick (the metro station 2 minute walk away goes directly to Haneda) as well as the trip in from Narita was really quick! Excellent location in the heart of my favourite part of Tokyo, Asakusa! My friend stayed at a different hostel and agreed that Khaosan was much much nicer!

This hostel has more noise than a party hostel in Thailand It's extremely noisy because the walls and the doors are very thin so you can hear everytimg. This is not only the hostel's fault. A lot of guests arrived late at a night and they didn't show any respect to people who tried to sleep. Yelling loud and slamming doors all the time. Then the same thing started again very early in the morning. So if you want to get any sleep, you should sleep from noon until evening, then it's quiet enough.

Quite cramped and very noisy between both dorms and the street. Can hear the doorbell all over. Area is good but there are plenty of other hostels nearby with better amenities for the same price.

the location is good, but the rooms and bathroom are very small. i find it difficult to move my luggage to second floor because the stair is very narrow. Heater in my room didn't work well.

this hostel was ok. I found it very very small - but typical of tokyo I guess. it was a little difficult to find but handy to local train stops. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
