Friendly staff, clean facilities, great location. I highly recommend staying here. In an otherwise, quite expensive city, this is the perfect way to see Tokyo without spending a fortune on a hotel. There are many restaurants and bars within walking distance, and very easy access to the Metro system.

The Khaossan Tokyo Samurai was clean, affordable, and comfortable. I felt like there wasn't too much interaction between travelers within the hostel itself but my travel partner and I did check out the Khaosan bar and had a blast! Great opportunity to meet other travelers and locals. It was also nice to be within walking distance of so much to see/do as well as two train lines. I would recommend this place to other travelers and consider booking here again in the future.

The general feeling while staying there was really great, the staff was really nice and helpful. if you wondered where something was, all you had to do was ask in the reception, and they would give you step by step directions where to go. I would recommend this hostel to anyone any day!

Having a hostel with many floors but not an elevator is frustrating (the staff did offer to help carry bags though). The ladders for top bunk were made inaccessible due to being positioned against a wall and a desk. Showers smelt a little funky. Thin walls make it especially loud when people decide to use a hair dryer at midnight (perhaps the hostel could limit hair dryer usage during reasonable sleep hours). Location was decent, but Khaosan Kabuki is far newer and superior.

This time we stayed in a Twin room which was a worse experience than the double. The mattresses were thinner and therefore uncomfortable. The duvet provided was dirty and worn. I wouldn't have used it if I didn't have a choice. The air conditioner placement (hitting the person on top directly), made it impossible to heat the room at night, since the person sleeping on top would be too hot. Other than that, the hostel is not bad, but maybe is in time for some update in the facilities.

We had a double bed room, which mainly had space for the bed only, besides that, it was comfortable. The service was good and it's close to Asakusa station. The bathroom was ok, and so were the showers.

I had a great time here. The staff (and other travelers) were very friendly and easy to talk to and the rooms and facilities were all clean. Nice eating area and comfy beds too! I'd definitely stay here again.

The plugs are inconvenient because they are connected to the light and your plug has to defy gravity. Good atmosphere though and mami (night staff) is awesome
