Nice hostel. English speaking staff, good location and clean premises. Just wifi is very unreliable, especially during "peak" hours.

Could have done with a few more bathrooms and a bit more privacy - we stayed in the smile building and it was a bit wierd that the shower and bathroom were right next to the dining table where people would always be sitting. Kitchen was also quite cramped but it is tokyo i guess. Rooms were clean and spacious.

This place was a gem - very reasonably priced, close to two major subway stops but away from the urban noise pollution, and super friendly staff who helped me out to navigate the streets of tokyo when I didn't know any Japanese. Only problem was spotty wi-fi, but this was pretty prevalent throughout tokyo. Otherwise, highly recommend.

had a full kitchen to use which would have been really nice if we were staying longer. the rooms were quite average but the people were nice and they have a bar not to far which is quite small but good place to meet other travelers.

It was the first time I went to foreign country I tried to find cheap hostel with good facility and location Khaosan Tokyo annex/smile is one of the hostel what I thought Kind staff and hostel's location and animating atmosphere... But one of inconvenience thing is a lack of shower room. When I tried to shower, I had to wait for previous person more than 10~20 minute. But except this thing, Everythings are good for me!! Thank you!

The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was great. Many backpackers choose to stay at Khaosan hostels, and their bar is a great place to meet other travelers.

Great hostel. I had a very comfortable 3 nights there, with the exception of the Chinese guy on the bunk below me who had two huge suitcases and all of the electrical appliances in the world which he insisted on moving around, plugging in and unplugging continuously from about 6am... That, on top of his snoring, made him the worst room mate ever. Back to the point... STAY HERE!

Check in at Khaosan Tokyo Annex. Smile is a quick walkaround the corner, then up a steep flight of stairs. Shoes off. Common area is simple kitchen area. Room was tatami room with two bunk beds and a locker inside the room, which was nice. A bit of a walk from the closest subway station (Asakusa).
