This was my first hostel, and I think I have been spoiled. The place was kept immaculately clean, the food was top notch, and the service always came with a genuine smile. If you're looking to get out into the Irish country-side, then this is a great place to do it. I have absolutely no complaints, and wouldn't come back to Ireland without booking at least a three day stay at Kilcommon.

It was wonderful! We really enjoyed staying at Kilcommon Lodge because it was located in a great spot for relaxing, the people are amazing, and everyone really goes out of his or her way to make others feel welcome. We will definitely return if we are back in Pullathomas again.

Excellent hostel. The welcome was friendly and we were given plenty of information and local insight into exploring the area. Eating breakfast with a great view over the bay was very relaxing, and returning to a turf fire warmed the soul. The hostel is open all year around, so great for a winter break.
