Clean and centrally located hostel with a fully equipped kitchen and a common area.

Great spot to stay. We came in late both nights and we caused no trouble and got no trouble. Also got full deposit back unlike some hostels

This hostel has been the best hostel I've ever stayed at. I enjoyed every minute of staying inside. The atmosphere of the hostel is so welcoming and cozy; you really feel like you're home. All of the rules about the hostel and the facilities were very clear and worked for everyone. Because of this amazing stay, I definitely plan on visiting Kilkenny again and staying at the exact same hostel.

This old georgian house is amazing. The location is spot on with walking distance to everything. There is car parking located near by if you are doing a self drive. The kitchen is big and plenty of space for a lot of people to cook. The common area is lovely with the fireplace lit at night. I highly recommend for anyone young or senior to stay here. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great stay guys :)

Beautiful hostel with a homelike atmosphere. Very close to the castle and on the Main Street. Staff are friendly and helpful. The kitchen is well equipped. The lounge room is comfortable, with a fireplace burning at nights and good wifi. Lockers are provided in the hallway if needed. The showers were great for hostel standards (no push buttons!). I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hostel to anyone travelling to Kilkenny.

We did like the Hostel and the Stuff. We went there on friday. You gotta like it loud and full of party crowd to be there on the weekend. But still we had a great time there.

A vy clean n lovely hostel. Just spend a nite here so had a shower once.....hot water was great even bathroom area is a bit too small - 2 each for the whole floor! Lucky that theres only a gal n me in the 6 bed dorm only. Wifi really sucks even on the g/f :P

The staff was warm and welcoming. The room was big enough for the four of us, and if (we really hope to) we are able to head back to Kilkenny we will be staying there again.

Couldn't roll over in bed without it creaking, and only one shared bathroom on each floor with two stalls. Staff was freindly and helpful, hostel was nice as it was like a giant house, and it's a great location. Would recommend.

We were glad that we stayed here. I wish the hostel had had a tv in the common room While there are many very young travelers there, I understand that one must control the noise situation which was great but the common room open till 2300 was not ideal for us! Very well supplied kitchen Hot water heater in showers one minute scalding hot, one minute cold should be improved! Australian receptionist had a great control on everything!

Terrific location. Main shopping and eating area just a couple blocks away. City lot also about 2 blocks away. Only a few blocks from historic church, the castle, and river. Felt safe inside hostel and walking the neighborhood (day and night). Clean restrooms and showers. Plenty of towels available. Bright, roomy kitchen. Staff was pleasant, helpful, but not intrusive.

The building has a lot of character and is in a great location. The staff would bend over backward for you,, too. The kitchen is pleasant and clean and well equipped. Plenty of free towels and nice, hot showers were a nice bonus. The only thing I didn't like was the wifi service. Very weak signal that can only be reached from the sitting room, and often not even then. But otherwise, it's a lovely hostel and we would stay there again.

Great short stay at Kilkenny Tourist Hostel. Parking just around the corner at 3 euros per 24 hrs. Great location to enjoy the pubs and restaurants in Kilkenny.

The old rule applies again: the smaller the town, the nicer the hostel. Friendly, funny, helpful staff, quite spacious rooms, a decent kitschen and a dining room that doesn't need artificial light during daytime. Located in the centre (no hard task in Kilkenny though), yet quiet (except if you happen to stay the night after hurling finals but hey...). Okay, wi-fi signal could be stronger in the rooms. I'd stay there anytime again!

Very nice staff with good location but a bit noisy because of that when you sleep near the road...

Definatly one of the best hostels I've stayed in across UK and Europe!

Absolutely love it here. It's quiet and cozy during the week, with very comfy beds, a well-equipped kitchen and a nice little sitting room. The staff is adorable. The old building is very atmospheric--which in this case is not a euphemism for drafty!
