Standard YHA type hostel overall what you would expect. Directions provided were poor. Tour group which arrived at the same time meant that cooking facilities were stretched.Standard YHA type hostel overall what you would expect. Directions provided were poor. We chose this hostel for its location right on the Ring of Kerry cycle route. We stayed in 4 bed dorms with shared bathroom - all very clean and to a high standard. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Although there was a buffet breakfast available for a few Euro, we opted to use the fully equipped kitchen and eat in the large dining area. TV rooms were modern and comfortable and internet access a bonus. Parking was also available. We chose this hostel for its location right on the Ring of Kerry cycle route. Was off in the middle of nowhere but the staff was really nice. They booked tours for you that came to pick you up at the hostel. There was a free bus that took you in to town at certian times. Would make a suggestions for a later bus in the morning at maybe 9.Was off in the middle of nowhere but the staff was really nice. They booked tours for you that came to pick you up at the hostel. Lovely quiet place. Good kitchen. Good TV room to share with other people. The main section of the National Park is a bit too far to walk - but fine on a bike (though is a busy road). Its also possible to hire a tandem bike in Kilarney town. Lovely quiet place. Good kitchen. Good TV room to share with other people. Most gorgeous building, you feel as if you're staying in a castle not inside a hostel. Friendly, charming stuff, spacious kitchen and "living room". We got a 4-bed-room all for ourselves because the receptionist thought that the 2-bed-rooms are a little small and it costs the same! Lovely stay, especially with the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle peninsula starting right in front of your door. Highly recommendable to everyone. Most gorgeous building, you feel as if you're staying in a castle not inside a hostel. Friendly, charming stuff, spacious kitchen and "living room".
