This hostel appears to have declined or maybe I was placed in the bad section. I wasn't impressed, the bathroom was old and the floor had a large crack in it that you could easily trip over. The bathroom also looked and felt dirty as did my room. The bed was also extremely uncomfortable and had collapsed on one side, I spent the night trying not to fall out bed. I would not return to this hostel and think there are plenty of better hostels in Killarney to chose from.

We were absolutely delighted with this hostel (and we are regular hostellers:). Just what we expected for the money + a unique and extraordinary atmosphere, just like in the Harry Potter movies, or a Boarding school (to quote previous reviewer). Staff were really friendly and dealth with great consideration to the needs of the Early-birds as well as Party-goers. No noise, very warm, outstendingly equipped kitchen and a big fire in the fireplace located in the commons room.
