My favourite hostel in Killarney. Ive stayed in a number of them now. This is the best from my experience so far for what I need. Parking, good internet, good kitchen, and our private room was excellent. Mind you I stayed in the dorms last time and they are good too. Very good value compared to other places in town. Staff are great too, very helpful and friendly. I will be stopping here from now on on my work visits.

Don't miss this hostel! Definitely the friendliest staff in Ireland, possibly in all of Europe. Great location just around the corner from the train station, and easy to get from there to town. Staff very helpful if you'd like to book tours right there or need any other info. Fast internet. My room was clean and spacious. Large kitchen and they'll do your laundry for you. The woman on duty let me sit there and wait for my train half a day after I'd already checked out, which was great.

There was no atmohphere whatsoever about the place and the staff were so unhelpful. We asked about places to go out for music and drinks and the reply was "dunno". She tried to give us one key card between 3. The shower had someone elses body hair in it and the shower sprayed water over the top of the door destroying the whole place.

The walls are thin enough that we could hear everything going on in the common areas, but in general it was a comfortable place to stay. No complaints about the staff and the whole place was decently clean.

I enjoyed my stay in the railway hostel. The only complaint i would have is the noise of banging doors and people talking along the corridor. Other then that i thought it was a fab hostel with very friendly staff.

We spent the weekend here for a stag. The staff was excellent and were very friendly and could not do enough to help us. We would recommend it to anyone. We had the 6 bed rm-ensuite for both nights and a twin bed rm for one night.

I ordered an ensuite room and I discovered then that the bathroom was in common with the other people. The room, in particular the shhets and the duvet were very dirty!

comfy beds, good sized kitchen, great location, parking was great for us, dorm rooms were a bit cramped - we had spare beds so it was fine, but there wasn't a lot of space for 6 bags in the 6 bed dorm

Confortable beds in the shared room. The hostel is quite big, with enough space in kitchen and TV room. Good hostel.

This is not the frist time I sleept in an hostel and my former experiences allow me to say that the railway hostel of Killarney is pretty but too''basic'' and need some improvements : -the breakfast (included in the price) is too poor (only corn flakes coffee and tea) some bread, jam, cheese and ham are a few things that make a good breakfirst and so a good hostel ! - the beds was not clean, the bathroon was realy dirty and the only sink for 8 persons was clogged... - buliding too noisy !

Very good location, near train & bus stations and walking distance to a lot of main attractions. Cute names for rooms & bathrooms are well maintained & clean. "Private" rooms were not too much more $ and were well worth the space & privacy, plus they came with free towels. Would definitely stay again.

To be honest I could not speak more highly of Killarney Railway Hostel..On arrival, even though they were extremely busy and I only have booked for four people they managed to accommodate an extra two of my friends and managed to get us all into the same dorm which was brilliant..The dorm was spotless and the beds were very comfy..The Hostel is less than 2 minutes walk from town which is great if your planing a night out there!!10/10 for everything, we will definitely be staying here again!!!!

Bed was a bit too hard. It was a little too cold during the night - there was no way to adjust the heating.
