bungalow was really nice, staff cool, food not good and expensive and on top of all mices all over. this is something concerning all hotels in the area and I wouldn't be surprised to know that's all over zanzibar. they might not be ill or dirty but they are still big mices running on top of your heads while eating and sleeping.

really beautiful beach, authentic and wild, close in contact with the local people. Really kind staff. The ecobungalow are nice and very near to the sea but remember that those are open in some parts so there are insects, but it's not so important when you are in a so beautiful place. Paje is a great spot for kitesurfer (and it means, for others, that there is quite a lot wind, in particular during afternoom).

The staff could have been a lot more helpful and welcoming - especially when we arrived. They almost refused our payment as we had a fairly old $100 bill. if there is a problem with accepting these it should be made clear beforehand. there could also have been more information about things to do in the area as we had cool cloudy weather and got quite bored. we only found out by chance from another taxi driver about the shared taxi available. The huts were ok but a few things were broken

my fiancé and i had a wooden banda with fantastic seaview at kinazi upepo. it was the perfect location for our engagement journey. if you like romantic holidays at a very reasonable price and can do without luxury it´s the right place to stay.

DISGUSTING.Bed/Bathroom never cleaned & smelled of rotten crayfish, drain was clogged a 5min shower flooded it. We confirmed they had hot water, manager told us sometimes its hot sometimes its cold, liar,we asked som1 else he magically found a boiler, screwed off a rusted burned boiler from our room to put a new 1 on. Location good, beach with no seaweed. Staff ?terrible. Dont pay with notes if u need change, we had to ask, sameliar 4 times b4 we got it back. I would NEVER recommend this place
