The write up on the website is NOT a fair relection of this hostel. The room we were offerec had wine stains and other dirt on the wall. The sheets were dirty. The internal walls and door did not seem secure. Very much a no-other-option-last-min-must-stay-in-Kings Cross sort of place.

Loose tiles in the room, no towels had to ask, room was not as clean as expected and the mattresses were really bad with springs poking in the back. I paid £60 for one night due to most other hotels in London being booked but it was like a dirty hostel, breakfast was less than continental, quite poor and served on unclean cutlery.

Our matress was completely layed-through. The bed was broken, which made the nights unconfortable. We shared a room with one toilet and one shower in it with 4 other rooms. This can be really unpleasant if you need to use the toilet urgently. The breakfast was ridiculous.

Very close to Kings Cross St Pancras station. But... The stairs are very small and steep without elevator (lift). The room was a bit small but I didn't need too much place. The hotel keeper was kind but he speak a very difficult English (mine is bad too but I live in Switzerland). The "neighboorhood" is not reassuring but if you need the hotel only for sleep is good...

Extremly dirty, only clean sheets. Die Matratze war eklig und total durchgelegen. For one night o.k because it is cheap. But it is not a charming place.

Hotel was clean. Staff was nice. The rooms does not have cupborads or possibilities for storing clothes, but a fridge. The windows could be openend from the outside. The breakfast was more a joke than a meal.

Small things like a common room with a microwave and a jug would make any stay a million times better. Its expensive enough in London but having to rely on food that doesn't need to be cooked or restaurants, makes the stay quite expensive. The bed and the lock on the door were both broken but It was at least the room was clean. All the place needs is a bit of care and it would be so much better.

It was excellent, the price is very fair to this hotel and even cheap. I was there with my girlfriend and we got a warm and convenient room, nice shower and toilet, the room was small but you don't need more than that. The manager was very nice as well. I'm sure I'll get back to this hotel on my next visit in london.

My boyfriend and I are both 18 and booked this hotel for one night on a weekend. On arrival we were offered different rooms, either one with a shower within the room and one that offers a shared bathroom. We settled for the room with the shower, the room was not ready yet but the owner was kind and offered to lock up any stuff whilst we went and did what we wanted to see within london. Came back and room was ready, clean and tidy. We were left to ourselves, it was quiet and will attend again.

They shouldn't be allowed to call themselves a hotel.

"Lobby" small and cramped, the walls had moisture marks, carpets were shaggy dirty and the entire place smelled of stale Indian food. The room was tiny. Walls were patched with plaster and paint, some areas were bare. There was a naked bulb, a broken sink, some wire coat hangers, a tv with no remote and an old NOISY bed. There was dirty a shower stall in the corner. The toilet down the hall smelled of urine and had no sink. The owner was moody and unsympathetic. I do NOT recommend Kings Hotel!

We stopped here on the last night of a European excursion, as it is VERY close to Kings Cross/St. Pancras. That's about the only good thing about the hostel, though. We were so tired when we arrived, we didn't really care that the TV didn't work, the radiator wouldn't turn off, and the bathroom light didn't work. We showered in the dark. The manager knocked £1.50 off our bill because of the bathroom light, but still not a place I'd recommend /UNLESS/ you're just going to crash when you arrive.

the location is perfect, 4 min walk from kings cross station. but you get what you pay for, literally a bed and a bathroom. the bed was rather uncomfortable, and very loud. but having said that was it all we needed, a bed in central london.

It was not possible to watch television or listen to radio as the plug connector was out of shape.

Great location with a lot of potential to be nice. Our bed was horrible, i think this alone made the experience seem so much worse. a nice bed is the key to a great stay. the light in our shower wasn't working and when we told the staff they said they would change it the next day but never happened. to expensive for what it was. have stayed in nicer backpakers for much cheaper but thought we would pay a little extra for our own room. wasn't worth it.

Good location - very close to Kings Cross Station. Fine for 1 night. Small rooms, basic brekkie.
