Booked to stay at the Kingston but upon arriving at the main reception as directed, it was actually Hong Kong hostel but they had all our details from hostelworld. They put us in a grubby room in a random noisy apartment building away from the reception with broken wifi and the wrong code for the building, which was meant us arguing with the door staff after we went out for dinner who refused to give us the real code until the next day. No idea what on earth went on but glad it was only 1 night.

It was hard to find and the room was in a different building than the reception

Difficulty with first reception and registering into Kingston Hotel. Then it was better to stay in HK hostel where there were accessible facilities and staff.

Scam on the double room: Don't expect to have the room in the picture. Totally misleading, you can actually end up with anything available in any one of their hostels. We booked for two nights, but had to sleep in an empty dorm the first night, in an awfully small bed. For the 2nd night they moved us to a proper double room but nothing so fancy, dirty plastic on the walls etc. I would have preferred paying more than half the price for a crappy room in Chungking Mansions, at least no surprise.

The girl who assist us with check in was nice and friendly : )And the room arranged for us was quite nice as well, although it's a simple room with two beds, as long as there's sun light, it's good. What astonished us was that we went into the room at 2pm, the housekeeping suddenly opened our room door without asking, said she had not done the cleaning yet. Except for this, everything is good, we slept pretty well.
