This was certainly the best hostel of our Ireland trip, and we cannot fault it. Great facilities and locations, very friendly staff and oh my, despite its big size it is spot on clean - more like a hotel really. Well done guys.

One of the best hostels I've stayed in. Staff were so friendly and gave great tips of what to see. Cracking breakfast - great value for money. Hair dryer in the bedroom was a happy surprise after a cold day in the rain - thank you!

Best hostel I've stayed at by far. Scones served at breakfast were what set them apart aside from the cleanliness and great staff. Wifi could be faster tho

Other than charging 29 euro for a stay in a 6-bed dorm, I think Kinlay did everything right! Had a nice stay.

By far the most friendly staff I've met in my stay of Ireland, which is saying something because I haven't met a rude person yet! Also very helpful with suggestions on places to eat or if you want to use their kitchen yourself places to shop for groceries

Absolutely loved this hostel! The staff is awesome, especially Maria at the front desk, she is so helpful and wonderful. Galway is a beautiful city, and this hostel makes you feel right at home. Everything is clean, beds are comfortable, and the free breakfast was great! Thanks a million!

Great hostel. Close to a lot and they let you drink alcohol in the common room. Would definitely come back.

Awesome hostel! The staff was so friendly and so much fun- it made everyone feel extremely welcomed. The rooms and bathrooms were really clean and spacious. The breakfast in the morning was exception- a very vast selection. One of my favourite hostels so far

Stayed for one night during a trip up the wild atlantic way. Would happily have stayed longer and will do in any future trips to Galway. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Very willing to give advise on where to go and things to see. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and spacious. Showers and toilets also very clean. Large kitchen and seating area very convenient for cooking and eating in. Hostel is in a great location, just beside Eyre Square. Good atmosphere around the common area.

We had a fantastic stay at the Kinlay Eyre Square Hostel. The staff were fantastic, warm, helpful and friendly. The facilities were superb and the location was perfect! It was hotel standard accommodation with a smile. Very pleased with our stay there.

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Really clean, great atmosphere, very nicely put together (loved the murals on the walls), the free breakfast is actually enough to fill you up until afternoon, and free wifi that works! Will definitely stay there again next time I'm heading to Galway.

Huge place, perfect location, very helpful staff, great common room & free breakfast. You can book multiple, reasonably priced, tours in the same building. The rooms are clean and beautiful with comfortable bunk beds. A lot of cool stuff happening, like pub crawl every night and free internet access, but they also organize a run in the morning which is quite a unique idea. Without a doubt the place to stay in Galway if you're looking for moderate prices accommodation. Cheers from Vagabonds!

Excellent hostel! There's a reason it's the number one hostel in Ireland. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, clean, best amentities I've ever seen at a hostel, free breakfast, good security, and cool travelers. I will definitely be staying there again.

The hostel was one of the best I ever stayed in! Staff and crew were extremly kind and helpful. In contrast to other hostel the facilities and kitchen were always clean and tidy. Also the eating and social area were very cozy and inviting. We almost felt like staying in a hotel. Totally worth the money!

Great place to stay in Galway city centre. Kinlay has everything-good cooking facilities, cheap bottled water, toiletries in the communal bathrooms, good breakfast, activities every night, wifi, vending machines. It makes life so much easier when all these things available. And the staff are very pleasant and helpful.

No bad experiences at Kinlay but this hostel feels like a big hostel masquerading as a hotel. The result is no atmosphere. The events arranged were barely attended and groups did not intermingle. Found it hard to find people to meet as a solo traveller. The place is very clean and location is great but the lack of atmosphere or hostel culture ruined the fun for me.

Very good hostel in general, just one big bad thing : the corridors are very noisy, people are coming back from parties at 2, 3, 4 am) and the insulation between the room and the corridor is very bad so you can hear everything. I guess it depends a lot of the people staying in the hostel because we slept 2 nights and were woke up many times the 2 others but staff should regulate the noise a lot more.Very good starting point to discover the West of Ireland, but better for a group than a couple.
