It was pretty dead when we were there, we saw 2 other people. The showers were freezing cold and did not get warm. We picked this hostel b/c it had a bus to Blarney included. They ended up not doing it...

Went in late Novemeber and the heat was definitely not on, had to sleep in everything i owned! Location is really sketchy across the river, but the rooms have a sort of Cabin feel which was nice.

To be fair, they had no running water. They probably should have just closed during the floods.

Nice place to stay, but staff was poor on knowing good places for eating and things to go do. Saved money with the tea/coffee/toast for breakfast which was really nice. An ok place to stay, would probably want to stay somewhere else next time.

I couldn't praise Kinlay house any higher. Everything was perfect. My three friends and myself were actually staying in the little house behind the hostel and the whole set up was brilliant. We went into the main building for breakfast and everyone was so friendly. I would certainly return to Kinlay House if visiting Cork again. Thank you everyone for adding to the enjoyment of our holiday :o)
