the hostel was nice and the staff too. i went there with my boyfriend, we booked a paddywagon tour in advance and when we were there we discovered than if you are a guest you have a discount. we didn't recive it because we booked in advance, so if you want to do it, book it in the hostel!

I booked a single room for 35 euro it was very basic small with bunk beds I expected a single bed not bunk beds. No doors on wardrobe. Thin hard mattress. Could not sleep due to shandon bells going off every 15minutes, people shouting roaring banging doors all hours of the morning runing up and down corridoors. I will never go to that hostel ever again and tell my friends what I experienced. very expensieve internet usage 3 euro per hour. On the good front kitchen was big, tv room was nice.

If you need a cheap and central located spot for sleeping than it`s ok. But no more. The Stuff was very friendly - but the Hostel could be renovated and basicly cleaned. THX for staying

The showers were such hot that I could'nt rinse myself, and even when I told staff, nothing was changed the next day...The iron didn't work, there was no hairdryer available, too much noise, handdryer didn't work...no atmosphere. The staff were very welcoming, on the contrary of the place ! Disappointed...

the staff was nice, the room nice for a night, the sheets where clean. we thought of having a bathroom ensuite but it was just a basin, the showers where outside, shared by the others. the breakfast was light but tasty!

Very happy, I slept till the cleaners came, They were very polite. Thanks. I did miss that breakfast. I am an old age pensioner , I felt quite at home , better then a stuffy hotel, that I would not want to afford. and nicer and quieter , than another hostel dorm that I stayed some years ago, Tom Smith. Cleanliness must improve. Then, it's a good hostel.

really enjoyed my stay. The secure motorbike parking was the reason we chose the hostel and it was also very good.

Shower very hit and miss - not always hot. Cubicle grotty and no lock on the door. Hostel generally run down. They advertised "free breakfast" which only consisted of bread for toasting. Wasn't expecting luxury - whole place felt like it was in a time warp. Badly in need of renovation!

People behind the desk were not always the most helpful. Although the young guy with the long hair whose name I forget was very nice and helpful.

This hostel was significantly worse than other hostels we visited in Ireland. It was very run-down-- the sheets appeared very old and there were cracks in the walls. It has a decent location and is set back from noise. However, walking to the hostel through a less occupied area felt a bit unsafe. The kitchen was huge and the eating area cafeteria-like-- which means it felt clean and sanitary, but did not encourage interaction between guests. The staff was very nice.

The staff were very friendly, but the fact that the internet was out (apparently for days) caused me major problems. I specifically chose kh cos it had internet. Among the problems caused: i will get paid late this month, and had to drag my bags around our next desination looking for a bed during a festival. If you need internet for more urgent things than facebook, perhaps kh is not the place for you

the rooms are clean, breakfast is good and staff is friendly. The only thing is that the bunk beds are not stable enough - if the person on top turns around it feels like an earthquake for the person below. But all in all I really liked the hostel and would recommend it to my friends!

The luggage storage room needs a bit more security, also having a few lockers in the rooms would go a long way. Otherwise, good hostel...comfy beds...nice staff...good location. Cork is a great city with amazing scenery nearby.

I loved the Kinlay House hostel. Real value for money, it was perfect location, really clean and nice atmosphere. The staff was great, we arrived late and they even helped us ordering Chinese :) Lovely place, definitely will recommend it to my friends!

Arrived and were taken to a nearby property instead - close but a pain if it's raining or you want to use wifi, as only available in the main building. Double room was spacious with good bathroom but sheets not very clean. Kitchen was good and the location was nice

We were located in a twin bed room, in a house the hostel has very close to the hostel. The room was really dirty, the TV did'nt work, it was awfully noisy during all night, as the road is very busy during all night. Really dificult to sleep. An awfull mattress, you could find the way of being confortable, without digging the springs of it. To sum up, the worst hostel in all the 15 days of holidays in Ireland.
