Poor staff. They didn't give us enough attention to talk about the cit y. But the worst thing was that one of our friends felt bad during the night, it could be serious, but the reception didn't give us attention again, and they also didn't have the phone number of a doctor, hospital or emergency. I don't recomend this hostal.

Shower was cold and the beds and curtains etc. were very old. But location, staff and ambiance was very nice.

Wouldn't stay in this hostel again! It is located in a very weird hill, the bedroom and the bathrooms were not clean and the staff were really unhelpful giving us wrong information about buses.

i really enjoyed staying here , it is only 10 minute walk into the city so its very near but the only thing i will say is that it is situated in a very dodgy street, i kinda felt a little freaked out by the darkness around the area and lanes but that would probably be the only thing... and i had an ensuite room which was away from the building which i thought was annoying because all my friends wer in the building and i had to walk a distance to dem.... but other than that it was great crack!!!

The hostel and staff were great. However, the facilities provided in the dorms and washing areas are in severe need of an upgrade.

I stayed at the little guest house by the main hostel. Quite pricey at 80 euro a night, with just toast for breakfast but not bad overall!!

Location was fine, 5-10 min walk to Patrick St. Building kind of old, room ok, didn't smell great but was fine. Showers cold. Kitchen is great though. I much prefer Sheila's hostel in Cork for location cleanliness and craic.

I stayed in kinlay house in galway and loved it, so that's why when I went to Cork I booked with kinlay. I was very disappointed with the place. We walked into our room and there was a hole in the ceiling and the quilt covers were dirty. On the 2nd night our light wasn't working, so went down to reception and told them about it and the man at the desk didn't give a monkeys so that didn't get fixed. I want be staying here ever again.

Good location, very close to city centre. You wouldn't hang out in the hostel, it's basic: you sleep have breakfast and go, no character.

What makes this hostel is the staff. The hostel needs a lick of paint, but for the price its OK. Nice lounge area and good IT room. About 15 min walk to town centre.

Only one plug in the room. Some broken materials in the room, like lamps and unsolid beds. Door lock is not solid.

The fun question is irrelevant to me but the response was forced - so prefer N/A. My only grip is that the hostel was very noisy with a crowd of young people one night and banging doors at all hours, but I suppose that is to be expected. Otherwise very happy. The web-based info was very helpful.

I enjoyed this hostel because it's really nice. Because of the location, you can walk to the city's center but in the same time it's pretty quiete. The staff was ok, the manager told me some words in french, that was really nice.

Good hostel in central location under the Shandon Bells (which I rang - something different to the usual touristy things to do!) Staff were very friendly & there were lots of flyers, maps, bus timetables etc in the reception area. Free breakfast was fine. Free Wi-fi great. No complaints at all
