I enjoyed my stay at the hostel. The location was perfect and the staff were very friendly. However, my bed was not very comfortable, the mattress was very very thin and I found a black hair on my pillow (I have blonde hair). Also the tv room was very cold that night.

Basic - but ideal location and comfortable.

Rooms are basic but comfortable - no frills! Could do with a coat hook or a hanger for the cupboard. Also WiFi extended to the bedrooms would be an additional benefit of staying there. The signal was quite weak in the dining room.

The location was so convenient and it was easy to find if you got lost-go to the Shandon Bells. Also, the staff were extremely helpful and gave us a ton of tips on things to do.

It is a basic hostel, conveniently located. Tea, coffee, bread, butter and toast are provided for breakfast - but, there is a kitchen if you want to cook your own meals (which I did) and a large dining area. The staff was friendly and helpful. I have stayed here a long time ago, and little has changed. The bed was comfortable and the hostel was warm. I would recommend it and, no doubt, I shall be back here again sometime. I believe you can go on organised tours from here too.

The landscape is one of those few things everybody should get to see at least once in their lifetime. Comfortable bus, genuine and very knowledgeable Irish driver, nice friendly group, I enjoyed the whole experience. Would definitely recommend to others.

Heaters couldn't be turned on. There were no block out curtains in the room, which was frustrating considering there was a street light right outside. Showers were cold.

Fine stay loved Cork, we stayed in a double room that was in a separate building to the hostel, which was fine but no wifi and the room was so small that the bed took up the whole room almost. The bathroom was bigger than the bedroom, about 1 foot of space to manoeuvre in the room. But it was clean, the water was hot and the location perfect. The staff were helpful when we first arrived which was New Year's Eve and pointed us in the right direction for what turned out to be an awesome night

Great, clean facility for a cheap backpackers very close to town. All staff professional and friendly, a great escape from Central Cork in a quiet area. Was a quiet hostel as well; not a party place, which offered great respite. Well recommended.

Pros: It's well located and has a good price. The staff was very friendly and the room quite big. Contras: The kitchen lacked of many instruments and was a little bit dirty. The breakfast was very simple and the TV didn't work. We recommend it!
