It was a bit inappropriate that there was no warm water in the morning at nine, so we had to take a Cold shower Before checking out at ten!

Very expensive for the type of service offered. Charge fees up to store luggage.

It is really time to change the carpets in your rooms as it is really disgusting to smell not only mould and humidity but also beer, ....

There was no heating in the bedrooms and no hot water. At night, when I was taking a shower, light had turned off because the bathroom lights are automatic! When many people are on the shower at the same time, the flow of water decreases. Breakfast is for free but isn't good, you only have few choices. If you need a locker, you need to pay for it! Staff charged double because we used it from Sunday 10 am until Monday 10 am! If I come back to Dublin, I will definitely stay in another hostel!

The bathroom has a automatic light that does not turn on when you are in the shower. So, no showers at the night! They know about it. If you take your shower during the day...you will face other problem. All the showers has the same temperature and you can't change it. Sometimes it was too cold and you have to try later. Sometimes it can burns you too...

Terrific location (I was taking a film seminar in Temple Bar). The 24 hour parking with a nearby hotel (under €15) is an outstanding deal, especially in a town that can charge €6+ for a pint! Also: booking a single, private ensuite for only €25 is an excellent value decision. Recommended.

Everything went ok. No complains at all. The kitchen and common room are really good.

Too much heavy traffic noise - the hostel is located on a busy street.

Disappointed. We chose to stay here after staying at the Kinlay Eyre hostel in Galway... That place is heaven compared to this!

Not like Kinlay hostel in Galway, lacking atmosphere. There was an incident while I was staying here where a drunk man stumbled into our girls dorm at 6am (not sure why his key worked) and tried to crawl in my bed! Staff were helpful kicking him out though. The roof was also paper thin so upstairs was very noisy. Bathroom floods every time shower is used. Breakfast was average. Quite good location at the edge of the temple bar district.

Pretty good hostel; much better than the other hostels in Dublin ( which is an easy achievement ) :-) Stayed in a 4-bed ensuite dorm for 11 euros. Fantastic value ! Dorms are really nice. Perfect location. Facilities good but atmosphere so-so as the place is pretty big and old and feels a bit forlorn and the common areas could be better. All in all a pretty good hostel and definately recommend it. I prefer Avalon house though (affiliated with Kinlay House)
