Pretty clean, for a large hostel they do a really good job. The showers in the ensuite rooms need work, as do the showers in the general rooms.

could tell the person checking in about the free walking tours and other things to do one might not think to ask about them unless pointed out by the staff but staff friendly and informative when asked about things to do so not a big issue great to have person coming into hostel asking if travelers wish to go on tours

Lots of traffic on the street outside.

The hostel was a great location and excellent staff but we were there the weekend of the Heineken cup so it was probably louder than normal.

Be prepared for family bookings, waking up to a family with multiple teenagers was a bit of a shock. But its cheap and good location.

The staff was a little sassy. The internet in one of the common rooms wasn't working, and even after I told them, it was not fixed. The breakfast was good. Location was excellent.

Booked a room with en suite for me and my partner. I deliberately booked through Kinlay House website to ensure we didn't have a dorm but a room just for us. We ended up getting a 8 bed dorm, although nobody was in it, it was still bunk beds. One of the windows was broken on the outside, the bathroom didn't look that clean and to top it all off we had 2 pigeons in the room! the staff were all very helpful and did eventually get the pigeons out the window. The room was far too warm too.

Install a camera at front door so that you can check the people's card before they enter the building!

All good as usual, have stayed here a few times for different events, location is great, good shower, free brekkie, staff were friendly, will stay again

Great location, friendly staff, great facilities, could definitely have been cleaner but we were only there for one night so for what we needed it was great. We were in the 20 bed mixed dorm and I liked that it was laid out so there were small compartments with two bunks in each for more privacy. The bar attached is a great little spot as well, the only thing I disliked was the luggage room was outside which was inconvenient but oh well!

Great location near temple bar. The staff is friendly. One helped me book my Paddywagon tour since he used to work for them. The airlink bus stops in front of the hostel

The main thing going for this hostel is location -- it's right in the Temple Bar area, which is an incredible perk. Otherwise, it's pretty average and basic. You can definitely stay here and feel safe and clean, so if you want to stay in the Temple Bar area this might be a good choice. But be prepared for coed shared bathrooms on each hall!

Lovely place well located where to go out to explore the city at any stage of the day

good location. expensive. I don´t like to share the toilet. Noisy people, with party at night

We had a 6-bed dorm with bathroom included. Handy for the toilet but way too small to use with 6 persons. The showers in the hallway were much more comfortable (and clean as well). There was some misunderstanding about the towels, as on the website it's mentionned that it's included in the price of a dorm with bathroom, where the staff first didn't want to provide it. But overall, certainly considering the location, a good value/price balance.

Only downside would be the traffic noise.
