We went to a gig in Olympia and were stunned with how perfectly Kinlay House was suited for our needs. Yes, it's basic inside, especially the room, but basic should mean enough and that's what it meant to us. Friendly staff and atmosphere are guaranteed, the nice buzz around breakfast table a big bonus too. Kiss goodbye to the posh flipping hotels, choose genuine hostel instead. We go back there next month to see another gig in Olympia, so staying in Kinlay for a night, no hassle.
We just stayed a night and literally just slept there for 5hrs but it seemed nice. Staff we very helpful and the room was clean and quiet - the beds were really comfortable....one thing I would say is that check out was at 10am which seemed a little early for a hostel-11am would have been much appreciated!
Prime location, friendly/helpful/energetic desk reception folks, adequate accommodations for the price.
the hostel itself is very much average. But expect bad surprises at all times: everylittle thing costs extra! 2euros a day for the save; 2euros for a towel; 5euros for late check out (check out time is ridiculously early at 10AM) - it's surprising you dont have to pay for the public shower.. the shower by the way was in the other wing of the building (toilets as well). Furthermore, the temperature of the water could not be regulated: the water is boiling hot. almost impossible to shower.
Good place to stay. If you're looking for a place in the very city center, it's a good choice.
