All in all this is a really nice hostel, the only point I have to mention: if you are in Galway and you want to have a good night sleep, do not stay at Kinlay. It was very loud during the whole night. At 2 am there were still girls talking loudly on the corridor! Even when the security man came by, there was still a lot of noise (smashing doors, loud steps, voices, music). Compared to other hostels in Ireland, the breakfast was good, I loved that there were offered juices!

This was one of the best, cleanest, friendliest hostel I've stayed at. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, and everyone staying was super friendly and welcoming. There is a piano and guitars for people to play, so there was always great music in the common areas. The bedroom I stayed in was the perfect size and right by the bathroom. I stayed in another hostel in Galway but I would definitely stay at Kinlay again!

-English: breakfast ok, the location is perfect, a little bit of noise through the windows; only the cleanliness can be better -German: Fruehstueck ok, Lage ist perfekt, durch das Fenster kam ein wenig Laerm von draussen herein; einzig die Sauberkeit koennte besser sein

The 'noise and disruption' deposit was outrageous. €30 per person and we were not notified of this until we arrived. If I had that money to use for a deposit I would not have been staying in a hostel. A particular staff member was unnecessarily rude which also contributed to the negative experience.

Perfect! Nice rooms, well-equipped kitchen, very clean, very helpful staff, delicious breakfast. Location couldn't be better. I'd reccommend it to everyone, and I'll definitely stay there again if I decide to go to Galway again!!!

Great hostel with excellent facilities. Very clean and modern. Dorm room was a little cramped though. Staff were really helpful in planning tours and where to go next.

Really good hostel, really new, clean and nice. The man working at night was really nice. The rest of the staff not too friendly but didn't really matter. Good location, good breakfast.

The location of this hostel is spot on, only 5minutes away from all shops, bars, restaurants, club etc. The decor is modern with a lovely lounge area at reception with really compfy bean bag chairs. The 4 bed dorm we stayed in was perfect for us, a bunk and 2 singles with towels provided. It was a little cramped but we didn't spend much time in the room so it didn't bother us. We didn't interact much with the staff but in general they seemed grand. We all agreed that we'll be back assap!

We stayed in one night as we were visiting the cliffs of moher the next day (you can arrange this tour take reception which I highly recommend, it is not expensive and its a great experience) and tried to get some sleep as we had an early start the next day. By 1am there were screaming drunks racing up and the corridor banging on people's doors. The area where the rooms are is meant to be a quiet zone. This was blatantly ignored and the staff did not put a stop to it.

I stayed here for 2nights The facilities were very good, i was impressed with the kitchen as it seemed to be quite new. There was lots of space to sit down although I did not cook here. The free breakfast was good as far as hostels go. I stayed in a twin room with shared bathroom. The room was clean but the window did not close properly which meant alot of street noise at night. The bathroom and showers were great. Security and overall handling of noise levels by other guests at night, not good

The hostel is clean and well located. Staff is very friendly but I think that for the amount of people who stay there, they should promote meetings between individual travellers. I've seen it in some hostels in South America with big success. Breakast is nice.

Fantastic Place. My usual Galway hostel was booked out so I decided to try here having vague memories of a nice stay at a similarly branded Dublin hostel years ago. Glad I did. Good feel about the place and very well thought out. Social, kitchen and quiet areas to suite any traveller. Breakfast was a nice inclusion and I wish I could have stayed for more than one night as I reckon it would go off on the weekends. Cheers guys.
