A lovely hostel! The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and Lumi kindly moved me to a 5 person room after my first night in an 8 person room, just because it had become available (I didn't ask, she just said she thought a 5 person room would be nicer for me!). The breakfast is good value and I really appreciated the laundry service (£5 for wash and dry).

I booked a bed in a 10-bed dorm originally but when I arrived she put me in a 5-bed for the same price because the hostel wasn't busy and she didn't want to make me stay in a big room alone. Also breakfast normally costs 2 pounds, but I was told the next morning that it was free that day, which was really nice. The hostel itself is on a residential street, quiet, not too far of a walk from the bus station. I would definitely recommend it.

I arrived on the day of my booking only to be told that my account had already been charged for failing to turn up the night before, and only when I came back with a printed copy of my booking confirmation was I told that someone in reception had messed up my booking and that I wouldn't have to pay again. Other than that the hostel was fine, but I would advise anyone thinking of staying at this hostel to phone ahead and confirm that their reservation has been dealt with correctly.

Really excellent! Its more like a home than anything else, amazing staff! So welcoming and friendly! I love that the kitchen is very well equipped with free tea/coffee and vegetables. Lovely breakfasts for a minimal charge. They host lovely "events" daily which add to character atmosphere and fun! Really great! The only thing is its quite far from canterbury west station but a bus does stop 30m away from the hostel and only a 5 minute walk to town. Thank you kipps! Best hostel for sure!!

I would have liked staying there some more days. Beautiful the building, large the rooms, friendly the people. The best in which I've stayed so far.

Everything good, clean, except the ventilation inside the room wasn't great, hard to breath.

Very friendly hostel. The location is great! The only downside is that the bed kept on breaking. The slats of the bed constantly fell to the ground, this was very frustrating.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. It was a bit cold downstairs, but that was because it had just gotten cold that day, so I understand that there is always a few days adjustment period when the weather changes to get the inside temperature correct too. My room was warm, so it was all good. Facilities were nice, I would stay there again.
