Very nice and clean hostel, the staff is very welcoming. We were supposed to stay in the dormitory but when we arrived a group had booked all the beds so they put us in a twin room for the same price. We found towels, shampoo and hairdryer in the room as well as free tee and coffee and a TV!! The private garden is really nice as well, I'll definitely go back there if I come back to Canterbury.

The location is perfect, close to city centre but not too close. The hosts were very friendly & accommodating.

More shelves in bathroom and single room would be helpful for tourists. Lovely staff. Couldn't have been more helpful!

We felt very at ease and welcome, Carmen is a lovely host. We liked the familiar atmosphere of the kipps hostel, in fact we had also booked the kipps in Brighton for the two nights after our stay at kipps Canterbury, which we enjoyed also, it was different, but we liked both, and prefered Carmen's hostel, great place and awesome garden, lounge and breakfast room. We had lovely and interesting chats we several other guests.

Very freindly and welcoming staff. Great private room with loads of unexpected extras- TV, unlimited free tea & coffee, kettle, hairdryer, towels and a lot of cushions! Shared areas very nice. Structuraly a tiny bit shabby, but clean and towels, linen etc all really good. Nice location and easy to get to.

Kipps was a great place to stay for me and my friends over the weekend while taking part in a University event. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the facilities met our needs well. It's great that there is no curfew so we didn't have to worry about getting back before a certain time and could enjoy letting the night take us where it may! The location was great as well - only about 5-10 minutes from town! I will definitely be staying there again next year.

Carmen, Scott and staff made our stay very enjoyable. The theme nights were a great ice breaker, we met a number of interesting people. The staff's knowledge of their area and their keenness to help made everything great We will recommend other Australians to stay at Kipps

All I could imagine about a dream hostel is Kipps Canterbury. I spent 2 more nights there because it makes me feel at home. Missing dear Carmen, the most cheerful lady I've ever met; and Shane, the best sausage cook in Canterbury and Michale, whom I met 2 times both in Kipps Brighton and Kipps Canterbury; and Gabriel, Billiot, you guys are my family in UK. Kipps Kisses

This is probably the best hostel I have ever stayed in. The room was clean, large and the bedding was changed every day. The breakfast was good and cheap. The the only small issue was the bottom bunks have little headroom, so once you are in it can be a bit claustrophobic. The staff was very nice and helpful and went out of their way to make sure i had everything I needed.

It's a really good place to stay and quite cheap regarding the location and the place. Really nice hostel and the staff was also very polite and helpful with us. I really recommend this place if you are going to spend some days in Canterbury.
