Excellent Hostel. A little out of the way from Canterbury West Station, but worth the walk/bus ride. Also, the toilet seemed to struggle flushing in my room, but it seemed to manage. The people who work here are genuinely interested in their guests, and they do their best to make sure visitors enjoy themselves. The night I stayed, they made free pancakes for anyone who wanted them! Fantastic dinner, amazing service.

I had a wonderful stay at Kipps. The facility was lovely and the staff was extremely helpful. One of the best hostels I've ever been to. Highly recommend!

Very friendly staff that were very helpful. Free afternoon tea, internet, sky tv and very good value basic breakfast. The only down side was that I found it too warm!

The staff were AMAZING. The woman at reception welcomed me in and she was so friendly! The other 'live-in' staff were also wonderfully helpful and friendly. The hostel is quiet homely and comfortable, wonderful garden and breakfast are. I only stayed one night but I wish I could have stayed longer!

The Kipps Hostel sets a standard for other hostels to emulate: 1. The rooms are continuously and comfortably heated in the winter (not just occasionally on a "timer"); 2. My bed had MULTIPLE pillows; 3. Kipps provides free party food every evening to create a sociable atmosphere (at 8 PM); 4. A real and bright bed lamp that actually WORKS! (in the private single I occupied); 5. Free, fresh towels (two) plus toiletries. Nice! Very nice! Since Canterbury is very walkable, the location is fine.

An excellent hostel - very clean, comfortable and well decorated. It feels more like a B&B rather than a typical hostel. The mattress in the double bed room could be improved, but other than that, everything else is great and I really enjoyed my short stay there. Highly recommended.

Albeit it was a short stay, it surpassed my expectations. Very comfortable stay and very helpful staff! Random, but my linen smelled like flowers. Sigh. Would definitely recommend it to others and will try to go back for a longer stay myself :)

Absolutely fantastic place to stay, whether long or short term. Comfortable rooms, spacious kitchen, extremely friendly and helpful staff, free wifi throughout the hostel, in house laundry service, nightly activities. There is so much that is great about this place that it is hard to list it all. My favourite hostel in the UK by far. It is also only a 5 minute walk to Canterbury East rail station and 10 min. walk to the bus terminal. The hostel is great on its own, but the staff make it amazing!

Very friendly staff however bunk beds are so low that you can't sit upright in them and no reading lights. Bathrooms are quite small too.

It's a nice place and very clean with good value for money. Its staff is friendly and helpful. The room was small but comfortable and you have tea & coffee included (kettle, private room). Canterbury is a really nice place to visit, but quite windy and there was a draught. I put my clothes and stuff to cover it and it was OK. Unfortunately, there was an unpleasant noisy French group next to my door. That night one guy was shouting at their door every 5 min..

A fantastic place, a real home away from home. Friendly staff, who really put a lot of effort to help you have a great stay. Solid bunkbeds, the place was kept very clean, and they common room was a great way to meet new people. About 7 mins walk from the town and the bus station, and there were a couple of ovens, so cooking was never a problem. The building has great character. Lots of films available too in case you want a quiet night in. Great mix of nice people there too.
