Wonderful hostel, very friendly staff with great recommendations! We didn't get our free beer, though - can you mail it to America? :)
I loved Kismet Dao, Zara is the best...she is so sweet. Beds were comfortable, very spacious private. One bathroom upstairs was fine since we were there in a lower season. Great food recommendations from the staff. Sebastian was awesome, funny guy and took us on our tour even though it was his day off. He just loves Canadians ;) Probably the best place to stay in Brasov!
This hostel is great! Cheap, close to old town, tours were offered at a very reasonable price, wifi was great! Free drink for every night of your stay which is nice, hostel has a dog which is super cute! Sebastian was amazing, recommended amazing places to eat, he even took us on the tour to the castles and bear sanctuary when they couldn't get a driver. Pumpkins were offered to guests staying so that we could carve them for Halloween. 10/10 thanks guys!! If I'm ever in Romania I will be back.
Almost perfect place to stay in Brasov. Originally booked for only 3 nights but extended for 3 more. Kismet is great for recharging and relaxing. Also, Brasov is a nice base for day trips all around Transylvania (rent a car through the hostel if you can). My only (minor) complaint was I wish the guy at reception was a little friendlier to me when I checked in in the early AM - it was 5:00 AM for me, too, and I was spent from a long bus ride. I did, however, appreciate the early check in!
Really nice hostel, nice vibes and cool staff. Not right in the city center, but still pretty close, only 10 min walking from it. Nice rooms and facilities in general, I absolutely recommend it to everyone visiting this beautiful city of Brasov. And I love Zara, the best dog I've seen in a hostel :)
Best place to stay in Brasov. Really nice facilities, beds were comfy and met some awesome people. Would definitely recommend!
Solid place near the town center. The staff were very friendly.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Facilities were pretty good too.
Has everything that a good hostel can offer... And a sweet dog!
Really lovely atmosphere, breakfast was nice and there was free tea and coffee! Room was lovely, lockers are wooden cabinets but sturdy. No lock on the room door, and there was only one bathroom on the floor, bit of a trek downstairs for the others, but that's the only negative :) lovely atmosphere, my girlfriends favourite hostel on the trip (maybe owing in part to the awesome dog that lives there)
My stay in Kismet Dao Hostel was very pleasant. The bedrooms are very spacious, and it is situated in a quiet area, at 15 min on foot from the city center. The staff is very likeable, and the atmosphere among the guests is very good. The beds were comfortable too. It has a meeting room quite big in the basement, where you can play games, watch TV, listen to music, have a beer... without disturbing the rest of the people. In short, it was a very nice spot to stay during my trip.
Staff are great, location has a nice vibe, some restrictions to avoid disturbing residential neighbors. Nice garden and dog. Rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast is basic but present but the kitchen is good and well stocked.
helpful staff, and having a great time even I stay for one night.
I was at this hostel last year . Just spent another two days there. It's still as good, busy and lots going on. If your a single traveller, come here. Lots happening and to join in with. Easy to make new friends as everyone mingles. Still a great place to stay. Thanks kismet 😊
This was my first stay in a hostel, so bear that in mind with my review. Three of the four staff I met were friendly and very helpful, but the rest of my stay was disappointing. The bed was a sprung mattress, and I could feel every spring in the bed. But my main issue was the level of hygiene in the bathroom. It smelled of stale urine; I touched the handtowel once to find that was a huge mistake; the hair collector in the plughole was so filled with hair (oh, out of space)
Exactly what a hostel should be- a warm, friendly home away from home. This is probably my favorite hostel. They know what travelers need and want and they make it available. The atmosphere is fun but not wild, warm but not in-your-face. Well done Kismet Dao!
Great stay at Kismet, location is just a short walk to main square, Mt Tampa, and the train station. Many different tours and activities can be booked directly through the hostel. Free drink every night!
