The hostel is well located for what remains of the centre of Christchurch. The staff were helpful and the room was clean and pleasant.

Overall OK. Needed a mat in the shower as the floor gets very wet.

The free airport shuttle is killer, especially since free anything whatsoever is rare at NZ hostels.

A quiet but nice little hostel. Location is fine but in a mostly residential neighborhood. Clean but a bit worn down in places. Having to pay for both WIFI and Internet terminals is a big minus in 2012 for me. Not a bad choice but you can probably find better.

It's necessary to put some cloth and bath holders in some toilets.

This was a nice small hostel. Very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn\'t like was the price for wifi. $10 for 500Mb was the worst I have seen in New Zealand.

Staff was great and very accomodating and people were friendly. No toilet paper in the evening of my stay which came as a bit of a surprise and disappointment. Bed was very squeaky so I didn't get much sleep

A very friendly hostel with a homely feel. Nice area to sit out the back. Some nice places to eat just around the corner too

Friendly hostel. The free breakfast was a nice touch. The homemade bread was lovely. Free airport shuttle is great too. The two negative points were: the upstairs toilet lock was broken for two days. The other is the storage cupboard under the stairs. It isnt really big enough to accommodate more than a few bags, plus there isnt a lock on it, so you kinda take you chances a bit. Saying that, I didnt feel security was something to be concerned about in this hostel.

There are two kitchens, there is complete equipment in the downstairs kitchen and the upstairs has basic equipment (no toaster and some things like a beater). Overall the basics are good but there is nothing fancy at this place.

Very english type of house with horizontally opening windows and cramped hallways. Room was without closet or similar, neither was there a table. Bit overpriced, maybe.
