Worst hostel I've stayed at in New Zealand. Pretty dirty, only 2 toilets for all the guests, but one of them was mostly blocked by someone who was throwing up. Staff and guests got really drunk in the nights and we had to share a room with two absolutely drunk guys. Did not really feel safe there. Was happy to leave the next morning. Only good point was the freshly baked bread which was included in the morning.

The price for the wi-fi was excellent... Hostel had a very nice atmosphere, but a free shuttle TO the airport would be better than a free pick-up. We enjoyed our stay.

A pretty good hostel with helpful, friendly staff. It's a bit overpriced for what you get but there isn't too many cheap options in Christchurch at the moment. There's not a whole lot to do in the city so think about this before booking a long stay.

Nice, small hostel. Friendly staff - I even had a chance to chat with the owner. Great outdoor area for hanging out or relaxing with a book. Amazing bread for breakfast! Free airport pickup! Thanks! :)

Solid Backpackers, nothing spectacular however free bread is a nice touch. Showers could do with upgrade and more power points needed in room.

This place was amazing. The people there were super nice and informational. I certainly got a lot for my buck. The best hostel I've ever stayed at. Free shuttle to the hostel, fresh bread in the morning and access to their kitchens. The location is great too. Close to a grocery and gas station. Please check this place out! It's totally worth your money!

Great location, right near central Christchurch. The staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful. They had no problem with us checking out of our room a bit late so that we could finish re-packing our things to leave New Zealand. The rooms were spacious enough to fit everybody, and were cleaned daily. They have an excellent lounge where you can hang out and eat your dinner, as well as an outdoor patio. They also have multiple kitchens available, which was very convenient!

Basic hostel but had everything we needed. Rooms were clean and the staff were friendly when we checked in. It is hard to say much more as the city is still recovering but it was fine for the short stay we had.

We had a double private with shared Bathroom. The room was clean and the linen were fresh. Although one of the showers was not lockabel they were clean and the water was hot. The kitchen fascilitys ( 2x one on each floor) were big enough and provided everything one needs. For breakfast the staff made fresh bread which was, even for us germans, really good! The free pickup from the airport was amazing! All together we had a good time.

Very basic and a little bit untidy. While there are some things that need improving in my opinion (bathrooms small and dated, my private room didn't have a bin, the whole place isn't as clean as it should be...) it could be worse. So not the nicest place, but still quite ok.

Small hostel, two kitchens were good but also small. Very quiet, not easy to meet people. Bathrooms were also very small.

I was given a warm welcome and the hostel itself is nice. But my main problem with the hostel was the extremely loud music that was being played made it difficult to hear myself think and doesn't make it easier to meet others, the people I did speak to thought it was too loud as well. It certainly doesn't help those who have a hearing loss like myself. But other than that it's a nice hostel to go to with a good location and the owners are very friendly.
