Knockawn Wood Reviews

We had a lovely stay at Knockawn Wood and will absolutely stay here again (if we make our way back). The full Irish breakfast and tea time upon arrival were delicious. We were given some excellent dinner suggestions. Electric blankets were nice feature.

Fantastic welcoming environment at the door - always checking to see how our day had been, if we needed anything, offering of tea and coffee etc, felt like coming into a home. The house was set in a beautiful quiet countryside area. The rooms were comfortable and with sufficient heat and a good clean bathroom. Breakfast was great each morning and we were asked what we wanted each morning whether it be continental or something bigger. Couldn't recommend it enough!

Very rural location, but accessible from Blarney by car. The warm welcome and tea on arrival was perfect and the tips of where to go for dinner and drinks that evening were spot on. The only 'complaint' I have is more of a warning for those inexperienced with many European showers. The showers here are the traditional box on the wall with a couple dials and very low pressure so just be prepared. Breakfast was good and the view from the dining room is spectacular.
