After hearing warnings about charlatans in Vietnam, arriving to the hostel felt like a dream. It looks exactly like in the pictures - don't let the dodgy entrance scare you! The staff made us feel like princesses: opening doors, carrying luggage and constantly hydrating us. Everything was taken care of without us having to worry or pay a single penny beforehand. Included breakfast was delicious and filling! Boat trip to Ha Long Bay was the highlight of our trip. AMAZING!!! Thank you guys!

The staff were wonderful and so accomodating and helpful. I will be back. There was some confusion with our booking and the room wasn't ready when it was supposed to be but the staff did their best to get things sorted as quick as they could. It wasn't perfect but then again nothing is in Vietnam but the friendliness of the staff made up for it.

We booked a 4 bed dorm but they didn't have any when we got there so they gave us a 2 bed room for 2 of us. Which was good. The staff were really courteous and nice and we really enjoyed our stay.

Our stay was great. The staff was very friendly and always on the lookout for us. Always ask our day's itinerary and give us recommendations. Best of all was the breakfast that included toast, jam, butter and the best of this: fried rice, fried eggs and fried vegetables all Vietnamese style. We took one of the tours to Ha Long Bay and stayed 2 days and one night (sleeping on the boat). It was quite an experience indeed. I would highly recommend it.

The hostel is located directly in old hanoi city and places to see are not far away. The western breakfast is very good and included. The staff is excellent! I really liked them and they helped me with everything! Rooms are clean.

My stay at Koto Hostel was wonderful. I really enjoyed it. All the staff was very welcoming and friendly environment. They arranged everything for me, since airport pickup and transfer, Hanoi and Halong Bay tours. The location is quite convenient, close to markets and old quarter area. My special thanks to Angel, who was very kind and gave me full advice and directions whenever requested. Highly recommend it.

The staff was really friendly and warm. The rooms were clean, hot water showers, clean sheets. The fridge in the room didn't seem to be working through.

Really great stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was awesome. My only complaint was that the air con in my room didn't work, but luckily the weather wasn't too hot so I still slept pretty well.

Koto Hostel was wonderful! The staff was so welcoming and willing to help with our every need. They brought us water, helped us cross the street (not an easy feat in Hanoi) and helped us arrange tours and taxi pickups in the wee hours of the morning. KShowers had hot water and breakfast was great. KoTo is within walking distance of the lake, water puppet show, masoleum, one stilt pagoda and lots of shops. We loved staying at KoTo and would recommend it to anyone!

Friendliest hostel I have ever stayed in, every member of staff goes out of their way to help everyone staying there, always smile when passing, happy to help with anything and completely trustworthy. They upgraded me to single room for no extra charge with satellite TV and en-suite bathroom without me asking. Let me stay an extra night free. Internet free. Have best tours to Halong Bay. When I left each staff member shook my hand like old friends. You will not find better hostel anywhere.

Of all the hostels we stayed in during our trip of Vietnam none came close to the services we received from staff at the hotel. Even before we arrived they arranged our Halong bay trip 2days and 1night, could not do enough for us. on our return from Halong bay, we had time to take a rest in free room before our train defarted to SApa. They had an area where you could relax, ..........made us a tea at no extra charge. Definitely recommend 5star service hotel.

Brilliant staff who did everything possible to make our stay great - including booking our tours to halong bay and sapa, and offering us free use of showers and facilities inbetween tours! The only minor negative was the laundry service - it was more expensive than other places and clothes came back with labels attached which made holes in some fabrics. Would definitely recommend!
