Kobe Sannomiya R2 Hostel Reviews

Location was very near sannomiya, the heart of the city. Theres cheap kobe beef at 2960 yen at steak house at sannoimya! The staff were friendly, but it was a little noisy when people move into the 12 bed mix dorm.

I only stayed for a night, but the staff was very nice and the room was wonderful. Everything was very clean and comfortable.

Not a massive fan of this hostel, if I'm honest. The staff were friendly, but didn't know as much as hostel staff should. I asked whether it would be better to buy a travel card for the subway or walk between destinations and was told "I don't know" even though this is a standard tourist question. Place was clean; however, only 1 working laptop made internet access a bit tricky. No proper kitchen and a reception room which doubles as a living room. This place is alright for a stopover, no more.

Cozy guesthouse with very kind staff, but unfortunately rather pricey and no free towel (100Y).

I really enjoyed my stay at the Kobe Sannomyia R2 Hostel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Due to a change of my flight details prior to my arrival I had to cancel 2 nights, which was no problem at all. The hostel would not charge me for these two nights either! The hostel is also very clean and in a safe area. I would come back any time!

Friendly staff, helpful in giving us info on where to go. A bit confusing to find at first, but it is in a good location. Hostel was quiet.

Convenient location between Shin-Kobe Shinkansen Station and Sannomiya Station. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Hostel was clean with lots of amenities. Staff is really friendly!

My sister and I stayed there for one night in the dorms. They were very clean and fun to stay in: they are built capsule like, but have more space. (Which is very important to me as I am quite tall and "big".) We met great Japanese students and enjoyed with them a Japanese bath nearby. You probably won't find a better place to stay for that price.

This was a lovely place to stay - it had very good showers, and a small but good kitchen. Very handy for the station and very easy to find. Lots of shops and cheap restaurants nearby made this a good base.

Not a bad place to stay. Average, I'd say. I liked the curtains around the beds. It was good for a little privacy.

Excellent location, clean and secure rooms, fast internet and good facilities. A pleasure to stay there and explore Kobe. Staff were friendly and approachable.
