Security was appalling. No locks on doors. No lockers available. Some friends had things stolen and the staff didn't seem to be bothered at all. The bathrooms and toilets were terrible as well. You could easily find somewhere much better for the same price very nearby. Don't stay here.

Island life dictates that there's not always electricity and little water but the buckets for flushing the toilet and washing could be kept full. The place is over priced but again that's due to the island. Overall very basic and very average.

The staff is really desorganized and quiet bored behind the bar. The waterproblem seems just like an problem for themselfs cause everybody else on the island got water 24 hours a day and what we hear were excuses excuses. We apologize bla bla bla we are on an island. Ok i got no problem with that but if i get sick with stomach and there is no water to flush the toilet then i go crazy. I had to walk to the other hostels around the beach which is awfull when u sick. All new paid 5$ instead me 8$

The only good thing about this is the location, on a gorgeous beach.I can deal with electricity outages and no running water as after all the beauty of it is that it's an untouched island. However when surrounded by sea there is no excuse for empty buckets in the toilets, meaning you can't flush them. The sinks weren't cleaned for two days an the staff seamed completely disinterested. Oh and it was the priciest dorm on the island.

It really is basic... but it's good for somewhere to stay, but you're pretty much paying a bit too much for what you get. There isn't much water and they seem to turn the electricity off during the day whereas other places had it on all the time, seems uneccessary considering the price. Otherwise it's really great and literally is in the ocean. Beach is a second away.

I had a great time here! exotic location, and fun atmosphere. Dorm room is a bit tight but comfortable with mosquito nets.

Bed bugs! Myself and at least three others I spoke to in the hostel had them. Had to pay extra for toilet roll, which is ridiculous as it is expensive to stay in a dorm there compared to other hostels in Cambodia. No electricity half of the time, so no wifi or charging half of the time. No electricity during the night was a problem as it is disgusting to have to go to the toilet in the dark. Dorm beds are very squashed together. So definitely very bad value at $8 a night. Staff were great.

This is the only proper hostel on Koh Rong but its not too bad. The dorms are small and dark and the staff could definitely have been friendlier. The bar has good happy hour drinks but you don't have to stay there to use the bar. Its good if you are a solo traveler but if you are with another person you can get a private room at another place for around the same price you would pay for the dorm beds.

Really good food, and all places to stay have spectacular locations on this island. The bar was relaxed and there were lockers to store valuables. We were there in high season and found $7.50 per dorm bed a little steep, especially when you could get private bungalows for $10-25 (with all night electricity). There were cheaper dorm beds at other places as well. Overall an ok stay though, and I must say again...really delicious mexican food! If you are thinking of going to Koh Rong, DO IT.

the staff were poor to be honest, you had to ask to get a drink as they were to busy on their laptop....not much atmosphere for a backpacker traveling alone, there are lots of local ex-pats who tend to drink here; more for a group. also note it is out at sea, so if its rough waters you will feel it. its all made of wood which is nice but the beds wobble like crazy. if your looking for somewhere to stay this is alright just not brilliant.
