Excellent hostel, lovely staff. Wish we could have stayed longer but was fully booked. Showers have hot water, and toilets are very clean. Great location, pool nice but often filled with scuba divers training. Would definitely stay here again!

Blankets are available to rent for an extortionate rate of 30 baht for 1-2 days, or 70 baht for 3-5 days or weekly for 100 baht.... I'm sorry the staff member was unfriendly, hopefully it was just the cleaner that doesn't speak a word of English which would explain then not being able to help you are they would have had no idea what you were asking them.

This is a lovely small hostel with a very friendly, helpful woman called Paluan on the front desk. She was so cheery when I arrived at the hostel, she immediately puts you at ease. She is also very good at just giving general advice about the island and where is good to eat and so on. I would stay here again.

Yes, it is very basic. BUT it is clean, it seems pretty safe, well located and it is the best you can get for 300B on the island.

Nice little hostel, very well located. Met some cool people here. The only downside is that the place doesnt have a common room and the floors get a little dusty.

Owner Comment (Show)
Yes no common room inside, instead we have some stone tables and chairs outside and also a restaurant/bar and swimming pool 10m away ;)

Well, I booked 2 nights 2 Pax. But the booking was then almost for 1 person for the first night an 2 person for the second night. Insted of helping us out- because they are already fully booked, this Guy at the reception was very rude and accept nothing. I had to pay a 100 Baht to get a shower. So, all the rest been cool. Met taff guys there and I ´ve got an excuse on the next morning of the owner from backpackers Hostel. She paid me the 100 Baht back and I checked in as well and joined the dorm

For the same price you can stay somewhere much better, and we did. Bathrooms and toilets ok but the rest of the hostel was dark and gloomy, no common area, no vibe. I guess it is ok if you want to party and just need a bed to pass out on.

Dark and gloomy? There are light switches... Also guess you missed the tables and chairs outside the entrance also the swimming pool & bar restaurant then too...

This was a backpackers hostel, which was nice. A bit dirty, the beds are kind of plasticy, and the bathrooms leave something to be desired. However for the price and location on the island, it was quite nice.

Good location - close to the beach and all main bars and restaurants. 8 bed dorm was a little cramped and showers weren't very clean. If we were to go back to Koh Tao, we would find a private bungalow for a similar price.

A good no frills hostel. Right next to Davy Jones bar which is good for a couple drinks and food plus you get a discount if you show your key.

The location is amazing, the dorms are large enough and not too noisy, there is hot shower just read the sing to work it out! The toiled do smell, but there are other but many toilet smells around the island, even in more"luxurious" places, the girl at the reception in the morning wad absolutely amazing and helpful, all in all this property suits easygoing backpackers and solo travellers who are not doing a diving course!

The staff here were not very friendly at all. when walking in do not be expected to be greeted with a hello. The dorms are very basic so don't stay here if you want some down time after the full moon party as you want want to be in your room. Location wise its great and just a short walk to the beach. The showers are pretty grimy and there is no toilet paper provided.

I honestly don't know why this hostel has bad reviews. It was such a lovely hostel to stay in. All the staff were very friendly and helpful! I didn't find any problems with cleanliness (despite all the other reviews), though the bathrooms did smell a little bit though. The atmosphere of this hostel was good, other travellers were very friendly and social. There was no noise distrubances throughout the evening.

Everything was really dirty, the staff was not very nice. For the same money you pay for a dorm you can stay in a private bungalow. The bathrooms smelled terrible. I dont recommend this hostel at all.

Owner Comment (Show)
Not sure how I managed to offend these customers as I checked them in and booked in a snorkeling trip around the island for them (actually booked it in before they'd paid anything for the hostel stay or trip in the morning when they arrived and then they didn't return to the hostel until after 8pm, not sure what time it was as I went home at 8pm that day). I know this customer checked in before their room was cleaned in the afternoon between 1 & 2pm and remember that our cleaner does finish at 8pm also and so the toilets and showers are not cleaned again until the following morning, so unfortunately some customers do make a mess overnight. During the day this would have been cleaned up but as this customer was only in the hostel for 5 mins during their first day and then the following day went on their snorkeling trip at 8:30am and checked out before that and left their luggage in the storage room for the day whilst they were on their trip they weren't in the hostel pretty much at all on the second day. Interesting that they rated the atmosphere in the hostel 1 out of 5 seeing as they weren't actually in the hostel other than when they slept, same with the facilities rating, it seems like they missed the bar & swimming pool etc. No pleasing some people it seems!!
