+: Stylish, good Wifi, big lockers, nice pool -: No guest kitchen, overpriced, not really warm water You have to pay a penalty if you are longer than 60 days in Peru yet Ridiculous: You get a ticket for breakfast so no early bird newcomer "steals" a breakfast - feels not very inviting
A fine hostel, with all the facility you need. There is only 2 bad things: First the bar, that is locat in the biggest social area, plays LOUD pop music all day. With the results that no one in the hostel wants to use the area great. I tried to ask the staff to change music to some more chilling, but that only last for 1 hour. The second bad thing is the bar in the evening is crowded with almost only local people. And the DJ only plays Spanish music.
Hostel itself is great but reception staff (manager) and policies are not. Arrived at 10am and didn't receive a hello/welcome. No information was offered about Mancora, activities or places to eat/drink. Requested bottom bunk as I was feeling ill and reception told me that would be no problem but at checkin (2pm) this was forgotten and there was only a top bunk available. Informed I could change following day when people checked out. Following day I was told there was a fee to change beds.
Very good hostel! Staff is very friendly and helpful with information. The rooms are a bit too hot which makes sleeping less comfortable. The bar is nice and the parties are cool! Location is perfect, 2 minutes away from the beach and the city centre. Not dangerous around at night. Food in the restaurant is good as well. Really recommend it
Hostel is chill & quiet Sun-Wed. Thurs - Sat it is more full, & there is loud music & parties. It's lively & fun, but too loud to sleep on those nights if you don't want to participate. Local & other travels come to the parties. Locker boxes under beds are nice & big. Rooms & bathrooms cleaned daily. Showers are warm at best, but its so hot there you don't care. 8 person dorm was very hot - they should put in a second fan. WiFi would go out but usually right back. Bfast was bread & juice only.
We booked 2 nights and ended up staying 2 weeks. We got a private room which was definitely the way to go. It gets hot at night but that is just mancora. The staff was really helpful and nice, and the bar/pool was a fun place to hang out. The wifi is solid, and the location is right where you want to be.
Pro's: good location, good bar and pool area, lots of tables and chairs and a few sun beds, cheap, some good parties. Con's: staff are Really quite rude apart from the two young girls there, breakfast is just bread jam and butter, cold coffee and juice thats made in a huge plastic bucket :/ not very appetising. The crazy pitbull dog! Witnessed it badly attacking the cat one day. Itm's probably too dangerous to have at a hostel around people :/
Relaxed atmosphere, great bar area (the room next to it still gets a decent amount of noise until it closes), breakfast is very very little per person, expect to stock up. Restaurant was closed most of the times during our stay.
I booked 1night ended up staying a week! They have nice breakfast, cool pool(although it was closed every night),the staff is nice and helpfull, dorms are big and they clean them and the other facilities every day all day long! they have different topic for partys and the rooms are far enough so you'll able to sleep if you don't feel like party.. I would expect a kitchen to atleast have the possibility to cook but they do have a resturant in the hostel.great atmosphere. overall had great time!
Nice facilities and a good party atmosphere. Loud at night so not a place for people looking to get a lot of sleep. Seems to have a lot more Spanish speaking travelers and fewer English speakers. We stayed for 4 nights and would probably stay again.
Nice hostel, good staff, great bar and pool area. Seems to be more a place for the south american holiday makers rather than english speaking/european backpackers. My spanish is a working progress and I was the only english first language speaker in the hostel.

Great hostel located in a perfect location. Awesome atmosphere and some of the best parties are held at the hostel. The rooms have individual big storage space under the beds to store your bags and other belongings just dont forget your lock. There is security by the rooms when there's parties going on so you dont have to worry about randoms strolling in. Recommend anyone wanting to look for an awesome place to stay in Mancora to stay here!!!!
A little bit of a walk from the beach but really not bad.. Máncora is small so everything is relatively close. Bar and pool are AWESOME but it can get a little noisy at night if you are sunburned and trying to go to bed early. ;) Breakfast is basic and the same as in all hostels in SA... bread, coffee/tea, and butter/jelly. Easy to meet people. I would recommend to stay here and notLoki because that place is noisy and super full of gringos haha. Kokopelli is awesome.
Wi-fi sucked. They have three routers, but they seemed to be set up wrong. It was very difficult to get connections.
nice hostel to chill out and meet a lot of people. bar and pool are a plus. don't give to much for the breakfast, as usual in peru.
Good breakfast - eggs, bread, jam, juice, and tea or coffee. WiFi worked for the first hour I was there, but then not again. For some people it worked, for others it didn't. Other than that, the vibe is much more relaxed than Loki (nearby party hostel), but if you're looking for something with not too many people, a nice pool, and a nice bar, then I would definitely recommend Kokopelli.
The hostel try to charge towel ! and be careful when you buy beer from their bar which I bought miller small $5 soles and they asking $7 soles when you check out. there is a cookie jar on front of desk they make looks like from house. and when I have it small piece they said $4 soles. I got my coffee morning was cold and I asked please I want to have hot coffee the cooker make my coffee hot in microwave. :( Water issue always salt water from sea. so they need improve their self .
Nice hostel, good location. Staff tries to help with everything. Restaurants, little supermarkets, diving and kite shop are close by. Party area just 5min walk. Short walk to the beach. Included breakfast sucks - cold scrambled eggs, worst coffee ever, tea tastes salty and soapy. Just a tiny bit of butter and marmalade. Had major water problems so no showers or flush for hours each day. Pool ok but little bit dirty. WiFi is not working all the time. All in all ok but room for improvement.
Decent hostel but did have a good laugh at them covering up the bar prices and pretty much doubling them on the sat night! Good layout, the pool and bar area were killer and pretty good chill vibe. Wifi was pretty quick but sometimes it wouldn't work for a min or two, standard South America. No hot water, and the kitchen only does breakfast and lunch. Did get a little bit sick of locals trying to sell me coke every night, but would recommend.
