Located in Bella Vista, walking distance to Baquedano metro and downtown. Staff are very friendly/helpful. It rained a lot during my stay and the building couldn't cope, bottom floor hallway/kitchen flooded and roof started leaking . The upstairs bathroom needs a bit of TLC, mould covered the ceiling etc. No soap/towels provided. Rooms are tidy and clean. Small lockers provided. Not recommended for those who are light sleepers, very noisy street, with loud music until 4am most nights.

It is good to meet other travellers, the atmosphere is good and the staff is good too. They take you to parties for free, and one of the parties were open bar (for free!!!!!). The owner is very nice and he took me and my friends to do snowboard. The only problem was that my sheets were dirty.

This place would be cool in the summer. During Chile's winter it is no use, far too cold. The staff didn't seem too interested in anything really.

The staff seemed to not know who was in what bed and gave away a bed to a new person by throwing personal property on the floor. We were woken in the night by a staff member calling out for a person who had previously left and obviously did not know who she was or what bed she was in. (Or it was a lovers tiff!). At 4.30am The amineties were very basic and not serviced often enough. The sheets were stained and felt dirty. A cold atmosphere but good wifi and location.

Location was my bad. Didn't realize there were bars all around. very loud area but staff was great. Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner and the locks on the doors could use an update. Hard to lock and unlock.

Kombihostel is a good located hostel. The three nights I spend there it was very very cold. No heat anywhere neither a lot of hot water. Every night a party and noise outside the room. The kitchen is usable but not very delicious. Breakfast is said to be at 8.30 but wasn't ready at that time and an hour later there was very little left. The staff was helpful but not very punctual.

Kombi is definitely a party hostel! But that's not necessarily a bad thing! It also means people are more sociable, useful for a solo traveller. The hostel does group dinners nearly every night and as there is a beer fridge drinking till late is common. It's very much in the heart of the trendy Bellavista area which felt safe, even at night. The wifi works well and the showers are generally ok (just get the shower and timing right).Staff are friendly and always willing to go the extra mile.

If u like to party this is the place for u! Location was next to a lot of bars that were blaring music until 4am! Also lots of other young guests that like to party and were very loud and disruptive into the the late hours. I like to party too but not when I have to get up the next morning at 7am. When I do party I make sure I'm respective to the other guests in the hostel. Breakfast was suppose to start at 8:30am but was often late getting set up. 8:30am is kinda late to start breaksfast

Great hostel. Just to note the stools at the are really uncomfortable.

This is definitely a party hostel and is pretty loud. Served its purpose for a couple nights. It was sometimes hard to tell who the staff were but they were friendly and helpful when found. The laundry service was great.

The hostel is really well located in the Bellavista barrio, and is close to public transport. The dorms and bathrooms are very basic, but the kitchen is well equipped

This is a party hostel. Staff were up late drinking with guests every night & hostel is located on same street as many bars so every night is noisy. WIFI here is terrible. There only seemed to be 1 staff member who could help with questions about the hostel and the city as everyone else was a traveller who was working there for 1 or a few weeks. Never any matches in the kitchen so every night we had to go on a search for fire before we could cook. Breakfast only served around 8:30 - 8:45.

This place could be awesome, but unfortunately the staff are really average, they make you feel like they are doing you a favor by you staying there, its seemed like such a hassle for them to give us any information about anything!

Brilliant hostel. Location could not be better as its 1 block from all the clubs and bars, and only a 10 minute walk from the main sites. Also it's one of the cheapest hostels in Santiago. Good kitchen, good atmosphere (although it's not as good a party as the reviews said - but I think it might just be a low week), really nice patio, mostly friendly staff. You have to be buzzed in so it's very secure. I was going to move hostels but I extended my stay because it was so good

staff not that friendly. door to my hostel dorm cant be closed (red room). loud and bright. dont stay here if u want a good sleep. otherwise location is ok. close to pubs.

Should be great but a lack of cleanliness and staff knowledge and helpfulness brings it down. They need to bring on full time local staff.

This is a party hostel! If you want to sleep at night instead of having a party, this is not for you. Also, the "pool on our huge rooftop terrace" is confusingly neither meant to swim in nor located on the rooftop (i.e. it is a pool billard table in the main hall).
