The place is located in the best part of Mancora, up the hill way from the noise and only thing you hear is the ocean. Beautiful bungalows with a nice view. Jorg was a wonderful an friendly owner and very hospitable. We recommend it 1000 times for sure.
It is a hike up a steep hill to the property. They supply nothing except water. Going into town to shop or eat is daunting because of the difficult hike back up the hill.
Very friendly staff and pick up from station of the owner, Patricia, for free. The bar/café wasn't open during our a visit, a shame with that view, but you could bring your own drinks so that was no real problem.
Great escape from gritty Mancora we stayed in ensuite double which was gorgeous what wasn't so nice was having to walk down a back alley between place and Main Street past sick animals and tramps!
Wonderful place to stay above the town on a hilltop-about a 10 min walk up- The thing that could be better is the wifi-the router is too weak to reach the cabanas (which are separate from the rception, lounge and kitchen)- it would be perfect to be able to sit in from of the cabana overlooking the town and listen to music, etc
Though the hostel boasts a nice view of the city and is quite peaceful, It was spoiled for 2 particular reasons. First, the rooms have no bathroom door at all! How are you supposed to use the facilities if you are staying as a group or a couple? Second, the hike. They seem to have "forgotten" to announce that the hostel is on top of a mountain, and taxis refuse to take you there, so you are forced to walk the 15 minute hike through the dark, unpaved and railless upward trail. Not safe when wet
Short walk up the hill to get away from the hustle and noise of Mancora. Could be hard to find anyone around to help, but it wasn't really a problem. The bungalows have great hammocks and plenty of room.
Very nice stay in the bungalows which are perched on a hilltop overlooking the town and surf of mancora beach.. Definately worth a visit if you want to escape the noise, jurg the owner is a nice chap, with the pick up and drop off being a great bonus.
The hostel and the staff were amazing. If you're a couple or in a group, this is definitely the place to go if you want a really good priced chill hostel to relax. It has an incredible view of the entire city and beach, hammocks, a nicely equipped kitchen, good wi-fi and a comfortable outside patio common area. The rooms were very clean and there are padlocks on the doors. The owner also picks you up and drives you to the bus station for free! Requires a tiny hike to town (5 min), but not hard.
The hostel is nicely laid out with helpful and friendly staff. You get a beautiful view of Mancora that most visitors probably never get to see. However, you do hear all the noise from the town below, which is great when it's the sound of the waves on the beach but not so good when it's club music late at night.
Amazing views!! Great value for money!! 5 mins walk from main attractions but far enough away from the noise. All good!!

Charming little bungaloes overlooking the sea. They are a 5 minute walk up above the main town which we thought was perfect as it gave you peace and quiet away from the noisy town! And on top of that you got an excellent view!
Great location overlooking the sea- don't be put off by the talk of steps unless you are unable to walk (taxis up the dirt track could be tiresome) or are really lazy- you really are less than 5 minutes from the action, for wonderful views. Bungalows are beautiful, kitchen facilities decent, and showers hot in the afternoon. On the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. Picked up by Jurg at 23:30, which was much appreciated and a fantastic touch. Would definitely recommend.
I don't normally leave reviews but Jurg was so incredible and really went above and beyond to help me with everything during my stay. I had a mixup with my bus and arrived in Mancora at 430am and was very worried about my safety. Luckily, Jurg had given me his number and came to pick me up in the middle of the night. He also drove me down to the bus station when I left - all free of charge! I was so grateful for his generosity throughout my entire stay - thank you again Jurg!
