An unforgettable stay in a very well run hotel. The site overhangs Mancora, the view is beautiful, the hutes are very comfortable, cleanliness, the Peruvian owner and his Swiss husband were lovely and very accommodating: we arrived at night and they welcomed us and take us directly permi our room at 6am! The tranquility of the hostel is relaxed, ease of use of the kitchen is very convenient. It was the best experience we had in Latin America! Thank you for all !

A very nice place with a beautiful view!

I got to know Juerg a little bit and really enjoyed his company. Very helpful, knowledgeable and calm. The short walk up the hill to the hostel is totally worth it, with the best views in town and cozy little cabanas. highly recommended.

Really nice, quite place on the top of Mancora. The hammock in front ef the bungalow is perfect to relax and enjoy the view

Lovely stay. Really relaxing. A few solar lights or reflectice tape along the dirt hill would be helpful

If you want to get away from the party scene of Mancora, this is the place. Beautiful view. We thought it was a little to quiet for our taste. And the walk to the top is a little irritating. Wifi didnt work in our room. Didnt see the kitchen. Far from shopping-oppertunities. Cabdriver could'nt find the place. The road there is weird. The owner seems nice.

Really enjoyed my time here. Owners very nice and helpful. Great place to relax and still only 5 mins from main village. Would definitely come back.

Amazing views, friendly staff and sweet rooms

I read some reviews about the climb up the hill before I stayed there & was a little nervous. It is nothing to worry about and can be done in 5 minutes or less. The view & breeze that you get once you're on the hill is amazing. Jurg & Patricia are amazing, doing anything that they can to make your stay more enjoyable. Would absolutely stay there again.

Great relaxing areas with great views, good kitchen, showers ok Wifi didn't reach all areas, staff were hard to find when you needed to know something.,

had a wonderful stay at Kon Tiki! if they would have served breakfast and dinner, I would have never left the facilities! felt so very comfortable there that I'm thinking of coming back asap. definitely recommended!!

What a great place! The rooms are comfy and big and Jurg is such a nice host. Being picked up from the bus is a treat too and a nice perk! The main thing tho is the view, it's really worth it alone it is so beautiful sitting out in your rooms hammock on the balcony watching the sea and sunset below. Like other reviews the hill is a 3 min walk and a blessing as it means you can sleep well at night! It's not a party hostel but you can just walk down to party on the beach if you want! A great place

Fantastic hostel with an amazing view over Mancroa! The bungalows are very cozy and all have a hammock and 2 loungers out the front where you can chill and enjoy the view. The owner couple is super friendly and is getting out of their way to help wherever needed. It's only a short 5 minutes walk to all the action in town but still far enough to get a good night's sleep if wanted. Highly recommended!

Didn't expect a pickup but when offered i accepted and emailed my ETA. Never heard back. Nobody showed up after 45 mins. Tuktuks don't take you up the hill so had to walk. The neighbour was very friendly but we had to find everything out ourselves. There was no matrass just a thin duvet on a wooden frame. First time in 9 months travel we didnt get a matrass. Not what you want before a 19 hour bus. It sounds like we were unlucky as other guests do get good treatment. Facilities need some love.
