It's loud. So very loud. But you're in Patong for a reason. So it's really not issue as long as you're not a total fanny.
If you want to sleep don't stay here. We might as well have been sleeping in a night club. The bad were vibrating and the you could here the lyrics from the music being played in the night club next door. The staff couldn't unstand English and were quite rude. The noise was worse in the showers. Not much atmosphere. Would definitely not recommend
Not a terrible place to stay, right on Bangla road but super cheap. The place is right next to a club so you can hear the thumping through the walls which really sucks if you're a light sleeper. Bunks aren't bad, a bit cramped but for the price you can't expect much. Place mentioned it had a bar but we couldn't figure out where it was.
If you plan on going out every night perfect hostel, but if you want to sleep before 5am don't stay here. Literally like having a night club in your room.
As always, Kool Backpacker Hostel serves me well. I have been here for the second time this year. In fact, i went to Phuket just to stay here and meet new friends. I love it here. Love the vibes, love the noise lol. Pretty much noisy but, trust me, not gonna ruin ur day at all. Its pretty near to the 7E where u can get cheap frozen food, and theres a food court just around the corner. Cheap food too. And nearby all the hottest club in Patong. Dont worry about the beach. its near too

The 3 night clubs with which you share walls make for an incredibly loud night of trying to sleep. In every other way we were very pleased, I loved the art.
I got 10 bugbites my 1st night there, room-vibrating super loud music 1 floor under until 5am every night, gigantic overall facilities size but virtually empty. I'd suggest elsewhere.
Friendly staff. Located in the middle of the party street, a bit hard to find when you arrive. Clean room, big showers. Wasn't that many ppl in the hostel, had a good time. You can lso watch TV if you like
Great staff, problem was there was no one there because it was low season I guess. Came in December/january and had an amazing time. Just bad luck with not finding other travelers :/
Right on top of a club that open till 6am, which is good or bad depending who you are.
Facilities are great. Separate bathrooms for male/female with 6 showers and toilets. Clean facility. Hand soap and toilet paper provided. Rooms are clean. The only thing I dislike is no shoes allowed....in hostels it's not really ideal with the amount of people coming in and out. If you are looking to actually get some sleep DO NOT stay here. There is a club above the hostel that does not close until 7am. If you're not there to party do not stay anywhere on Bangla Rd.
Great location and staff, but be prepared for a loud night. The club downstairs is open late. Worth it if you are in town to party though!
Extremely good location if you are going out for th night. Would not recommend if you want a lot of sleep! Clean and good value for money.

Great hostel right in the middle of the strip! But it is very loud! The staff are great very friendly and helpful! Only bad thing is, is that the toilet are a bit of a walk from some of the dorms.
Good hostel, beds were fine, no locker in room but seemed safe to leave bag out, small lockers at reception if you have your own backpacker, great location right beside all bars (can be noisy if your staying in). Buckets in hostel were 300bath (180b before 9pm)
Very loud but if you are into party's best spot
