Very goood

It was a bit quiet in the low season, but the hostel has a fantastic location and great facilities. Good potential and fun with a big group.

Right on bangla road which was awesome. Near the beach too. It was nothing extraordinary but it was clean and the staff were pretty good. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you aren't going out because the street is really loud. But otherwise, its a great backpacking hostel!

We stayed 3 nights in a 4 bed dorm. The room was really small and the walls were very thin. Every night, people were playing drinking games in the common room next to our dorm, so ear plugs are a must here! Besides that we realy liked the hostel. The location is great, the hostel is spotless clean, the bathroom is huge and the flat screen tv is a plus when it rains.

Excellent place to stay. Great location, the cleanest of showers, working AC. Also a bit of a character as the hostel head-man. Recommend this place highly.

I found the place overall welcoming though i hated the location as it got really rowdy during the weekends. the staff were very accommodating, informational and so willing to help.

Great place. Super helpfull staff, spotless facilities and awesome location. Price is also difficult to beat. Does get noisy at night but it is on Bangkla road in Pattong!

I made a mistake of booking my hostel a day before and they wouldn't refund my money. I understand if they didn't refund my money because missed out on other business, but that wasn't the case because almost every room was unoccupied. I was quite mad at this/ Also, the floors were dirty, the bathroom didn't have hand soap, the lockers were small, and the staff wasn't too nice. I don't recommend this place.

This hostel is in the center of downtown life. You will have no trouble meeting friends and enjoying the night life. If you are looking for a quieter place, don't stay here.

I really wanted to like this place because the staff are so great. It's basically to top floor of an old mall. You can still see the signs. I'm not sure if it was under construction but the meeting area was an industrial area. The lobby doubles as the social are/TV area which is poorly set up. The rooms were either freezing or baking. No middle ground. The rooms were very clean though. The internet here is atrocious. Almost unusable. It's on the main party strip so that can be good or bad.

Only for sleep with ear plug on,very noisy.for 300 Baht you can go to Phuket Town and stay in to the Best Heritage ON ON Hotel.

Although it doesn't have its own building, Kool Backpacker inn is a great place in terms of value for money. With this amount of money you could get more than enough, for example clean room, clean bathroom. the downside of this hostel, perhaps it does not have a good appearance like the furniture, the bedroom, the bathroom. all of this are decorated to the minimal needs. perhaps some people(according myself) esthetic is a necessity. overall this hostel is quite good, especially the staff

Clean+Friendly and feel like home

I'm staying in Kool Backpacker Hostel. This is a solid hostel, run by some really nice folk who give excellent advice on the local area. We spent a LOT of time in this hostel just watching movies. They've got a big ass screen with surround sound, and you can buy literally any movie around the corner for about $3 USD. I think in the whole time I had seen maybe 15 movies (probably more, realistically)? Great dorms and facilities! Excellent atmosphere!

awesome if you're a backpacker looking to meet other travellers. It's got a very social common room and the employees are tons of fun. The hostel really made my Phuket experience a lot better . It's location is right in the middle of the action on busy la Bangla road. Facilities were always clean and the bedrooms extremely cool from AC. Only drawbacks were no window in dorm room (which I liked b/c it was easy to sleep late since the city is most alive at night) & can hearloud music from outside.

Great hostel, will be coming back for sure. All the staff are so friendly and helpful, and Ang just makes the hostel what it is!! Definitly reccomend it!!!
