we stayed here for 8 nights for the whole trip in Seoul, the place is comfortable and clean! our room type is double room, not very spacious but is enough for two people, and we have our own toilet! The owner of the hostel, Yong, is very friendly and helpful! The hostel is conveniently located with a lot of restaurants nearby, and is 5 mins walk to the subway station,Hyehwa, few stops away from Dongdaemun and Myeongdong! we will definitely choose KCB for the future visit in Seoul! Cheers :D

It's fun to stay at KCB. The owner is nice and friendly, and it is perfect if you have a limited cost. I would recommend it to anyone who will go to Korea.

Yong, the owner, is very nice and helpful. The neighborhood is packed with restaurants and is very lively (university area), but very quiet at night. The room had no charm but was clean and good for the price. The fact that there is an airport bus station (and the subway) very close is very convenient.

The place is quite small but cosy. The drinking water filter system is of great use and can save time boiling water. Walking space in the room is limited, there's only space to open up luggage. Room partitions are thin so sometimes can hear other people talking outside. Beds are soft and comfortable. The owner, Yong, is very friendly. Walking from Hyehwa station to hostel seem relatively safe as streets are brightly lit. Many food places around. Overall happy with my first stay in hostel.

I stayed here for one night and had a great time. The room was clean and just perfect for one person. I even got upgraded when I arrived as I had booked a dorm but since there was no one staying in a private, I was allowed to stay in that room! The guy that runs the place Jong is helpful, friendly and even walked me to the bus station in the morning so I didn't get lost! I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Seoul!

I would say staff is friendly and helpful, the location is good, near subway station and there are alot restaurant nearby, but those shops only start business from 11am. Agree that the hot water in bath room is inconsistent...out of sudden, it become super hot and it become very cold in next few sec... But of course, can try to enjoy the warm water between the interval if you are fast ;) Besides, we found that sound insulation is very poor. We stayed the room at 2nd flr, sometime we can hear

This hostel is a very cozy, gives a homely feeling and is definitely very clean and tidy. It is just minutes away from the train station and is near to the shopping districts, surrounded by many cafes and good food. Yong and Yoonhee both speaks English if language barrier is of concern. They are also very helpful to provide any informations that is needed and comfort & safety of the clients are also top priority to them. Definitely a place to stay when you're in Seoul.

KCB is a place valued to be stayed at!! Yong is nice and helpful and funny!! Just saw him helping others for booking air-tickets or doing some translation. If you need help, he'll definitely give you a helping hand!! Room is tidy before being used =P Toilet is clean but a bit small for me (because i'm fat...). Atmosphere is harmony here. Feeling warm here. The location is excellent!! Shopping lane with different types of restaurants are nearby!! Very convenient!! Will stay here again next time!!

I really enjoyed my stay in Korea central backpackers. The atmosphere of the place is really nice and homey. the staff are also very helpful and friendly. can't complain at all about the facilities they offer, and i also love the reasonable walk to the subway station. the only downside is that i had a really really hard time finding this place the first time i arrived. the sign was really small and partially covered by something else.

I stayed at Korea Central Backpackers for 9 nights, from 28/12 to 6/1. I lived in the single room with private bathrooom. Everything is great indeed, the owner is very helpful. The single room is big enough for one person to live in. Furthermore, there are lots of restaurants nearby, and the subway station is near Korea Central Backpackers, just a 3 minutes walk. But the supply of hot water for bathing is not stable. Anyway, it is a great hostel, and I will stay in there again.

Unfortunately, didn't really enjoy my stay at Central Backpackers due to the following reasons. The hot water in my room was very inconsistent: it keeps coming on and off and I had to bear with really cold water during winter. It wasn't a pleasant experience at all. What's worse is when I complain, the owners do not seem to care too much about it and keeps telling me that the system's fine. Location's the only plus factor, but the attitude of the staff was unbearable. Wouldn't recommend it

Owner Comment (Show)
I am sorry for any inconvenience caused during your stay. After you complain me I double checked hitting system and showed you that hotwater is still working. since i opened the hostel no one complained about that. I thoght i did my best to help you bowever sorry to hear that you didnt satisfied. Again I do apologize for any inconvenience.

Basic but comfortable hostel in a very convenient location in Seoul. Lots of students due to its proximity to a big university, and many places to eat and drink nearby. Easily accessible from Seoul station and very easy to find. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I'd stay there again for sure.
