About Hotel Baeren
The Baeren Hotel (The Bear Inn) in Wilderswil near Interlaken, between the two lakes, has offered traditional hospitality since 1706.
It's chosen by Switzerland Tourisme officialy as one of the 'Typical Swiss Hotels' with the comfortable, rustic rooms that have been refurnished over the last years.
The restaurant serves traditional Swiss cuisine and local specialities. The big and varied breakfast buffet gives the right start for the day. The dining room on the first floor is next to a comfortable lounge with a terrace. There are also 2 separate children's playrooms and a outdoor playground.
Our helpful staff at the reception advises about excursions, hiking, biking, sports and adventures. Bikes as well as public transport by bus and train in the surrounding area are free of charge with the hotel's guest card. Ideal for excursions like Jungfrau-Joch, Schilthorn and many others.
The Restaurant Rustica is popular for its specialities of grilled local meat, its famous Rösti potatoes, cheese fondue, raclette and other local dishes.
The Pizzeria 'Mister Chicken' with the covered garden-terrace has the same basic menus in addition to pizza and pasta and chicken.
Enjoy a local Rugenbräu beer on tap or a fine glass of wine, while meeting the locals in our bar.
We also offer the popular 'Tavern Special', a 4-course menu served in a traditional way going back to grandmother's time.
All rooms are comfortable and cozy, with a rustic decor. Rooms with balcony on request. All rooms have a nice view of the mountains and our lovely village. Smoking is only allowed on the balconies.
