The hostel is OK for one night, but not much more. No lockers is an issue. The stove is ancient and you can't light it yourself. There is only one person working there, and she doesn't speak much English. However, she is very nice and the rooms are clean. The hostel looks very rundown though, make no mistake about it. Avoid the Maria Jose hostel next door at all costs. Bedbugs and extremely rude staff. The cheapest busses to the park are via JBA at Arturo Prat #258, only 10,000 pesos.

Good place to start your tour of the national parks..

Might be the cheapest place in town, but defo one of the best! Only one block from the supermarket, carpet floor in the whole place, a stove the heats the whole place to 25·C in the cold patagonian evenings, it's just the best place to come back to from several days of Torres del Paine. The rental equipment was also of great qualitiy and not more expensive than anywhere else.

The front desk was really helpful and helped us plan our trek in the local National Park and even arranged bus tickets for our next stop. The value for the money is terrific. The hostel is centrally located with a supermarket and many gear shops and rental places nearby.

I loved this hostel... sure it´s a little run down, but it´s cozy and I got some of the best nights of sleep in my 9 months traveling there. Has everything you need, internet, kitchen, lockers, rental gear, advice, nice people, great beds, hot showers.

you have to understand that PuertoNatales is one of those end of the world towns with houses made from corrugated metal and wood. so Koten Aike also is like a "cardboard" house where you hope that people who stay there are hikers that will go to bed early before/after the national park. But it's one of the cheapes places in town and for that the service is excellent: hot showers, stable wifi and fab hosts. I especially loved helpful friendly and sunshiny Paola who made my stay just great!

The best thing about this hostel is staff – very helpful and welcoming.

It was overpriced with windows that would not open, very hot. The ceiling looked like it might fall in from rain/snow damage. The floor was also worn very thin as were the walls. The young man was very nice and spoke some English.

This place is in a good location in a ramshackle old building that feels like it is made of cardboard, but has super friendly and helpful staff plus good vibe and common areas/kitchen. Don't stay here if you want something slick but for the cheapest beds in town it's a real goer. We also found rental gear from them for the W hike very good quality which was a saviour arriving late from Calafate and leaving in the 7.30 am TDP bus

Great place, very cheap

The place is a little run down, but the staff is really helpful. It could use small lockers for people to lock up values.

This hostel grew on me, and fit well into the character of Puerto Natales. Inexpensive basic accomodations, but very friendly, homey, safe, clean, the beds are comfortable and there is reliable hot water and a strong Internet connection (which are not to be taken for granted according to travellers staying elsewhere in town). A bit loud at night w/people packing for treks, but this is the same all over town. Close to bus companies, so you don't have to lug you pack too far.

A bit run down (like all the rest of the town) but lovely and warm and welcoming inside. The staff are awesome. Highly recommend.

This hostel is very simple and fairly rundown, but it is cheap and safe and the staff are fantastic. Really, the helpfulness of the staff is the best thing about this place and the reason we came back for a second stay.

We stayed in Koten Aike before trekking in Torres del Paine and they helped us organize the trekking and we could rent equipment in the hostel, which was in good condition. The hostel itself is very basic, the (bath)rooms are divided by thin cardboard walls. But the staff is superfriendly and it's not expensive so we would recommend it.

Great if you are on a budget, need gear and advice for Torres del Paine. Pollolina is fair, kind and just lovely. Close to town with restaurants any other stores for outdoor gear you might need to purchase as well as the supermercado to stock up on supplies. Wood stove in kitchen works really well too. Good showers and clean.

Staff very helpful and the shared areas warm and cosy. Great cooker! Bathrooms kept clean although the upstairs could do with a bit of redecoration. Dorm beds comfy with thick duvets.
