Kowloon Budget Hostel Reviews

First of all, I would like to say that this chain hotel group is somehow bad. The staff is not friendly. I checked out late for about 30 min. The staff charged me for HK$50 without giving me any receipt. She (the mainland old aunty) made us so angry. We have to shout, scold and debate with her for the late charges. I stay there for 3 nights, during the stay, the staffs not even bother to service the room, filthy bed sheet, bathroom door cant lock, and even no toiletries provided. It is so bad!

It. Was a very bad experience with want tai hostel I didn't expect that the staff are very rode they got my money , first before showing me the room ,the room has no key, the cr was so stinky, so many flies, the beddings was so dirty, that's why I transfer to another hostels because the room was so so dirty and stinky , it was very bad experience and I am going to tellbthisnto my friend not to book in this hostel anymore, They did not refund my money I book for one room with individual bed

the receptionist is so arrogant,not accomodating, can not understand us. the room is very small, and the bed has so many insects that bites us. we spend sleepless night. the next day, we left early at 8am, that\'s why. sorry to tell. . . . . . in their brochure, it\'s very nice, but in actual, so . . . . .very small room for 8 persons. we cannot move.

EXTEREMELY DIRTY..FULL OF BED TICKS/BUGS... ALL WHOLE BODY WAS BITTEN AND I WENT TO DOCTOR!!!!

Dirty place since there is ongoing construction when we stay there that is supposed to be not yet ready for occupancy.

Rooms are incredibly small, shower & lavatory in the same tiny 1x2m room. Staff is not so helpful. No insects in our beds though, but overall impression was not of an clean enough place. Will avoid staying here in future.

Having read previous comments I was skeptical of this hostel, however me and two friends stayed there for 2 nights and it was fine. You get your monies worth, small rooms, cramped bathroom but it's cheap and cheerfull! I recommend staying there if you're saving your money and don't expect somewhere like the ritz :)

We booked 3 beds dorm of 8. When we're check in, the staff said we're lucky, and gives us a family room of 4 (share with one person) without additional charge. The room is very nice and clean. Bathroom has small bathub, sink, and toilet. There's a water refill so we don't need to buy mineral water.

I always stay in the Hongkong hostel group hostels when I'm in HK, and have had good experiences at all of them!

We were sent away by security because the location was not secure, it looked criminal. Even the people walking there told us it's not a place for us to be. We couldn't find the hostel either although we had the right housenumber. When we called by phone twice we got the voicemail so nobody was there as well. We don't recommend the place.

Good and cheap.

This was this worst experience I have had in my last 6 years of staying in different hostels in different parts of the world. I had made a booking for Basic Single room on Feb 20 for a stay on March 3rd . Once I arrived there, I got a shock to know that the booked room had been allocated to someone else. So whats the point of booking early? I was then led to a dorm and the manager told me only 3-4 persons would share it. There were finally 8 people in the room.totally unacceptable

VERY DIRTY hostel. Сockroaches, fleas, bugs! The towels what you get in standard categories were used 1000 times before as well as linen in the room. The pics at the web site are not what you get at all, even at the luxury category. A/C in standards is not OK. If you want to wash anything it will be dry in the room in 3 days only. They want 100% money before you see all this hell in the room. Besides they want 100 USD extra as \"deposit for the keys\". NEVER GO THERE! THIS IS HOSTEL HELL!!

They were by far the worst hostel I have stayed at in all my life. the rooms were not large enouwo setw of Buk beds.....tyheyhad eight of them plus two more slept on the floor. The management was always rude, unwilling to help with anything. The beds were literallly falling apart. Please take this hostel off of your list and do your website a favor. I would not recommend this place to a homneless person. This hostel would have not even made a good brothel.

The room 69, the toilet door is broken.... So bad. Luckily we are girl.... Pls improve this ;)

Your Information staff is very arrogant and irate. Not even listen to customers. Language Barrier issues and i had some skin allergies or insect bites because of your bed sheets.

I booked a "Basic Twin Private Room" about a month or so before check in date so I got the best available rates at the time. When I got there, the man who was at RECEPTION WAS SOOO RUDE and UNFAIR. He CHARGED EXTRA HKD200 when he realized I got the room very cheap. He also unnecessarily RAISED HIS VOICE consistently. Plus he put us in a room with one bed instead of 2 single beds. I got lots of INSECT BITES all over my body. DON'T STAY HERE!!! IT MAY BE CHEAP BUT STILL NOT WORTH A SINGLE PENNY!

It is absolutely horrible, cold, dirty, some facilities doesn't work... The workers are really rude, and when I asked to keep my suitcase for a few hours before I take my plane, they suggested to leave it in the lobby where the all building has access, holding the window of reception... Don't try, I prefer a bad hotel in may-land china than this expensive and dirty flat full of rooms. Horrible!

Price and location are very good.

were satisfied in our stay.....actually upon reading the previous review me and my partner expect worst but they give us fair enough service.
