I have never imagined that living condition in not only Kowloon Hostel, but most Hongkong hostels can be so poor that I decided to abandon that place at the first glance, even I had already payed for all the fee required and could not get it back. My conclusion is that I will never choose to live in a Hongkong's hostel again.I have never imagined that living condition in not only Kowloon Hostel, but most Hongkong hostels can be so poor that I decided to abandon that place at the first glance, even I had already payed for all the fee required and could not get it back. Great location literally right next to MTR station. Tiny place but you really can't complain.. Very helpful family-run businness. Rooms are tidy, air-conditioned, and the owner is very helpful. good WiFi in room. No kitchen or common area, which is typical for HK guesthouses. Great location literally right next to MTR station. This hostel is not very nice compared with the rest of China. The rooms are TINY and there is nothing to them. Plus, there is no place to hang out with other people. The hostel is literally in shopping mall/market building so there is no character. However, it's one of the cheapest options and it's clean. Also, the location is very close to the metro, which isconvenient. This hostel is not very nice compared with the rest of China. The rooms are TINY and there is nothing to them. I thought the outside of the building and the general areas were poor! But this is not the Hostels fault.. The room itself was Excellent! I was very pleased at what I got for the cheap price paid. Would recommend to friends and would also return if ever visiting Hong Kong again.. Thank You! :)I thought the outside of the building and the general areas were poor! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! It is not worth the trouble. For starters a rat ran across my head on the first night. Then, every night the receptionists would sit right outside the dorm at there table and talk and argue loudly until about 4am, every night. The beds im not sure are legal. They literally are a plank of ply-wood, with about an inch of foam on top, my back, shoulders and hips are suffering after 4 nights. This place is horible, do not go here, it is not worth any money, be warned this is bad!DO NOT STAY HERE!!! It is not worth the trouble. For starters a rat ran across my head on the first night. the location is excellent. it is practically just right beside the mtr exit. the place is rather creepy. the building is old and crowded with foreigners. but once you step into the hostel, it is totally a whole different world. its small but clean and the staffs are polite and helpful. all i can say is that do not expect too much but it is definitely worth the amount of money you are paying for.

Tips for finding the hostel - the instructions that come through when you book it say floor 16 but it's actually floor 13, there is no sign saying Kowloon New Hostel, there is one saying Kowloon New Hotel, but the biggest one says USA Hostel, apparenlty they are opporating under about 4 names (it is the same place as they had my name and details in their list before I told them it!). OK for the price, though the air conditioner was too loud to use as the parts were loose, and TV had no signalTips for finding the hostel - the instructions that come through when you book it say floor 16 but it's actually floor 13, there is no sign saying Kowloon New Hostel, there is one saying Kowloon New Hotel, but the biggest one says USA Hostel, apparenlty they are opporating under about 4 names (it is the same place as they had my name and details in their list before I told them it!).
