This place is great.....clean, good location, excellent food, and great staff. The owner is very helpful and personable; he will always be available for your safari related questions. Although far to the southeast (which means a longer drive from Joburg), the location is great to see some of the best game in Kruger. Cool homey lodge feel. Definitely recommended. Only had one day in the Kruger National Park, but Dave was a great guide and we managed to see the Big Five AND two cheetahs!!! Had my laundry done while we were in the park and then came back to clean clothes, a cold beer and a superb dinner cooked by Dave. We absolutely loved Kruger View Lodge!. Dave was SO knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. His advice on what to see where in Kruger made our trip :) The atmosphere is very relaxed, just like the area. We felt right at home and would love to go back!We absolutely loved Kruger View Lodge!. excellent place to stay in the kruger/komatipoort area.
very laid back, relaxed vibe and a great common room/area.
there was a family staying there during our visit as well as several groups of younger backpackers. everyone seemed very pleased with the place.
the owner, dave, does an excellent braai as well as smaller meals, which was a great option to have.

The owner Dave is awesome! Take the day trip with him to Kruger. He knows so much about the park and the animals and knows exactly where to take you to see them. We enjoyed the 2 dinners we ate at the hostel, made by Dave. A great place to stay! The owner Dave is awesome! Take the day trip with him to Kruger.
