The place was inexpensive and in a good area. The only thing is that they literally had the worst pillows I've slept on... ever. I have slept on some bad pillows in my time, but these took the cake. Other than that, the place was great and had a lot of character. The area itself was pretty boring but it's a good place to stay if you're just passing through.

Kitchen was limited, but otherwise a really nice hostel. Great location and awesome staff, who was very very helpful, friendly and happy to answer any question you might have.

I'm very glad to have stayed at Kuantan Backpackers :) The staff is great and always helpful. Jessin (the owner?), was a great person to know in Kuantan. When I first got there she told me where I could eat, what to do, where to go, and how to get there.. wow! Plus she hangs out with the guests. They have everything that you are looking for in a hostel. I stayed in the basic dorms and have no complaints. Clean bathrooms, stocked kitchen, lounge area with a movie library, and good atmosphere.

it was alright. But I stayed in better hostel in Malaysia for the same money. Loction is good. just 7 minutes walk from the terminal busstation. But there was just one shower, which was actually ok because was not fully booked out. But just a few drops came out of the shower.. worst in my live, coudn´t wash my hair

All perferct, clean, free breakfast, very good wifi connection.

This hostel is a very nice and relaxed place to stay. The hoselowner, Jessin, is always in for a chat and will help you with whatever. If you are lucky she will even take you out to explore the nightlife of Kuantan! Had a very good time here. Would definitely recommend it!

First, I'd like to stay there for 3 nights. I stayed 2 more nights. Because not only the city and the people are very nice and friendly, but also this hostel feels me at home. For staying, I think I didn't stay at the hostel but live in homestay. Jessin, the owner and her family are perfect. If I didn't have next destination, I would stay more absoultely. Hostel is near the bus terminal, good local restaurants, the river and the beach. Always clean and safe. It is a awesome place.

Owner Jessin super friendly & helpful. Made lots of recommendations on places to visit & shop. Free simple breakfast & free wifi. Just a few minutes walk to inter-city bus terminal. 2 big shopping malls within walking distance. Enjoyed my stay there. Cheers!
