Breakfast was amazing! Huge spread and mixture of food! Rooms are a decent size and clean!! Beds are comfy! The on site tour agent is extremely helpful! They have organised activities each evening! And the bar is really big!wifi decent but only in certain areas! Didn't work in the room! Otherwise really great hostel

Very central, clean and beautiful hostel with a nice atmossphere. Best breakfast I ever had in a hostel, with heaps of fresh fruits, juices, cereal, joghurt and different kinds of bread. Also every day there is planned a different activity, for example they had bolivian dancers over on a national holiday. The hostel also offers a service to book busses and tours for you.

Great spacious clean rooms, fantastic breakfast. Would definitely recommend. Wifi was pretty terrible and only available in reception.

Good, that you liked our breakfast and our rooms. Sorry, the internet only works in the reception and bar area and not in all rooms. Please also apologise the internet is not great because we have so many users and we are in Bolivia. Thanks for your comment.

The location was really nice, booking extra nights no problem so overall fine. The downside is that the hostel seemed very commercial to us and that they didn't care to keep the rooms and walls fresh and clean. The matrasses were really old so it felt like you need to climb out of an hole when getting up. There was a club in the middle of the main square so a lot of noise for all the people in the dorms.

Dear Guest, we are happy to hear that in overall the hostal was fine for you. We just renewed the matresses which were not so good and painted some rooms. So we are in continious improvement of the place, please apologise we cannot do all in one however in summary the hostal is in very good condition. We do not say we are non profit, which is usually anyway not true. So yes we are a commercial place and believe in paying fair salaries and provide good working conditions for Bolivians. This is our contribution. Thanks for your comment and have a great travelling.

My stay was decent overall - the beds and rooms were good sized and comfortable, there were ample bathrooms and regular cleaning. The atmosphere was good, always people hanging out downstairs, and good beer. On the downside, almost all of the showers I took lacked hot water, which was unpleasant, and the breakfasts were mediocre (and no waffles!)

Owner Comment (Hide)
Thanks for your comment. I am extremely sorry that you had a cold shower. We have a new water installation and we have 24h hot showers however sometimes in rare cases happens that the thermotanks are turned off and then showers could be cold, please tell us and we turn them on immediately, nobody should have a cold shower in Kultur Berlin. I am very sorry that you thought our breakfast is mediocre because we are proud on it and every day it is slightly different. And there is also one day with waffles for you!

Definately the best breakfast in south america as others have said - its the fresh fruit and juice that makes the difference!!! Hammocks are lovely to chill in - have plenty of activities and good wifi. One bad point - our dorm had no hot water! Great hostel - close to main square, shops, churches, and laundry. Good sized beds for a 6'2 guy :)

Best breakfast in South America! Lovely setting and great atmosphere. Very clean hostel with modern bathrooms. Could do with a few more plugs in dorms but that's a minor complaint

This hostel is fine. It has a great location and average facilities for south america. Sadly i had a cold shower every time. Wifi at the reception is good, breakfast is very nice with fresh fruits and possibilities to order eggs, ham, cheese etc. I would not recommend to book the private room, because it is in a little shed in the garden (with the buggs that come along with that). I would come back, but stay in a dorm.

Can´t think of a single reason not to stay at Kulturberlin. The breakfast alone could be worth 40 bolivianos. Probably the best hostel I´ve stayed at. Just remember, don´t bring alcohol. It will be cinfiscated...

Great location, lots of event nights, great vibe. Very clean too. Spacious rooms. Beautiful view!

All was good in our stay except that our shower kept running out of gas and the replacement bottles provided were only ever enough for one more shower. Also one night we were sat in the garden playing cards and having a glass of wine when we were rudely interrupted by one of the staff who immediately grabbed the bottle (luckily it was empty) and demanded that we join the bar and buy drinks from him. This wouldn't have an issue if there were signs up. Everything else was highly recommended.

the atmosphery is really great, turist and locals came to enjoy this hostels too. small lockers, very few plugs, the bathroom is always wet after someone take a duch. the beds and breakfast are really great. very central hostel.

private room one night stay - mattress deformed and uncomfortable, private bathroom useless since the flush wasn't working properly and no hot water available, the wifi connection was really poor - unable to sustain all the guests (even next to the router that had limited reach to the main common area). The place is beautiful though, with a nice secret garden inside With some minor investments regarding infrastructure is possible to improve the service and provide basic needs

Bit of a party hostel, though we arrived the day after Oktoberfest, so surprisingly everyone was quite quiet and chilled...! Happy to let us nap on the sofas after our bus arrived at 4am too

By far the best hostel we stayed at in Bolivia! Super clean and spacious rooms, nice breakfast, great events and nice staff! The Spanish school is also a great opportunity. Would definitely recommend to everyone!

Really beautiful building. The breakfast was so much better than anything else I've had in South American hostels. It was basically a really nice hostel- but with one major exception, the music. I understand there's music in hostels at night, I slept next to the bar in wild rover La Paz, no problem. But the music here was so loud my room was vibrating. Ear plugs can't do much to stop that.

Owner Comment (Hide)
Thanks for your comment. We had our biggest party of the year Oktoberfest and therfore the music was a lot louder than usual. Normally we also turn off the music at one o`clock, only this party was longer.

Great hostel. Loved the courtyard and the activities every night. Would have loved to stay longer if I had the time!
