We had a room with private bathroom, so this was for sure an advantage. However there was no access to the kitchen, and we really like to drink a tea in the evening...Owner nice but not very communicative as does not speak English so good. It was difficult to park a car there. There was no charge zone but not many free spots as well.
Very helpful in regards to showing us where we could get some food on our arrival, however when asked if we could leave our bags there the day we left, we were told there would be a charge for this, and as it was raining we asked if the owner would give us a lift. We were more than happy to pay for this, but we got into his car we were asked for the cost upfront! Possibly there had been a ripoff in the past.
It was an extremely good experience. it is a family run guest house and you can feel it. The daughter, Katrina was down while I was there and it was lovely. She is helpful and gracious and the over all feel was just great. The location is aprox 1.8-2km from the old city and it made for a lovely brisk walk, one I did every day back and forth, even late at night. Very secure and just a great feel! There are some steps leading to their guesthouse, which can be difficult with luggage
The internet did not work in the room. The fee charged for the drive to the port was unreasonable. The ladies were friendly.
The location is good. It's a 10 minutes bus ride away from the center or 30 minutes walking and it's very close to the bus and ferry station, so for us was really convenient. Plus, it is surrounded by nice places to eat not as touristy as the old city, so that was a plus. The owner, Nila (maybe it's mispelled, sorry!) was really friendly, helpful and accomodating. The rooms and bathroom are clean and comfortable. A fully equiped kitchen is available. We really enjoy our time there!
Very pleasant stay - we had booked a twin room with a shared bathroom but were given a room with two double beds and a private bathroom. We also had a little terrace outside our room which was lovely. Our host was very friendly and kind, she didn't speak much English but this wasn't a problem. She made us drinks on our arrival and coffee every morning. There is a bakery and supermarket one minutes walk away to get food for breakfast. Would stay again if in Dubrovnik.
